Jeff, I’m assuming he’s the owner, is a misogynistic jerk. He lies about completion dates, then tells you that you have an attitude problem because you expect him to meet it. He blames everyone and everything else but himself for not getting it done on time (or correctly). I ended up stranded in the middle of nowhere waiting for him to get around to deciding what he was going to do. Fix it? Deliver it? Give up on it? Still waiting…
Oh, and it gets better — *I* have an attitude problem because I believed him when he said it would be done two days ago and got a bit upset when I found out I had to pay for a hotel and cab to wait for them. There was no yelling or even swear words (though I’d like to claw his eyes out) — but he had the nerve to tell me that I was a b**ch because I expected him to be done when he said he would be and had the gall to ask for a definitive time/​date. Shame on me.
If you end up stranded in the middle of Globe, AZ — push your car to another city and find another mechanic. It’ll be worth it. Trust me.
***UPDATE****
It gets even better, if you can imagine. After so long of a delay, and them being complete jerks and getting defensive and using the excuse that they’re being thorough — the vehicle they «fixed» broke down after the first day and we had to rent another van to finish our job. So, major attitude issues AND crappy work. Nice combo.
