Unfortunately this place is right across from my school and the service was horrible me and my friends went in there today and treated with and unwanted attitude by Emma the fact that she gave an attitude to all of us when we ordered our food I understand that we came as a rush but the fact that she acted like complete bitch with us for no reason and feel as though she should take a bartending corse she was mixing a drink for another costumer and and they paid for just juice

I’m so glad this place is here. We recently moved to Gloucester City from Philly, and we’ve been missing our old proximity to our favorite watering hole(what’s up, Fountain Porter!). King Street Pub just opened in the former Dog House Saloon location on the GC riverfront. Prior to that it was a synagogue, and before that, a bank. With its high, dark ceilings and terra cotta painted walls, it feels large and open, yet intimate. There are four big TVs and the large island bar sits in the center. There’s also a small upstairs space with more seating – and of course, the requisite shuffle bowling machine in the corner.(We’re convinced Gloucester City is the shuffle bowling capital of the world.) Beautiful stained glass windows elevate the otherwise totally-normal-for-a-pub ambiance. We enjoyed the King St Burger(cooked to order and topped with onion rings and special sauce, among other things) and the King St Fries(a delicious hot mess of bacon, cheddar, mozzarella and ranch). Had a few Yuenglings as well. The beer selection is very basic at this point, but our bartender said he’s working on getting some craft selections in the near future. We found the burger perfectly satisfying and look forward to trying the others on the menu. We hear the thin-crust pizza is pretty much the star of the show, so we’ll be trying that next time! Finally, the owner is a stand-up guy. His name is Stanley, but people call him Art because he also owns Art’s Deli over on Broadway. He’s always around and up for a chat, and he’s an authority on the town – so we always enjoy talking to him as we settle into our new home. Say hi if you see him!
