LOVE, LOVE, LOVE! We stopped in to eat one night to just try in out… I have been craving good Thai food. It was incredible… I could not stop eating! I love the Spring Rolls and the Broccoli Shrimp with Garlic Sauce. My husband loved the curry. We have been back multiple times now to try different dishes and all have been delicious. Plus, if you want something special or a little different, they will accommodate! The service was wonderful too!

Decided to get takeout for lunch for my uncle and I. I checked out their website for the menu but didn’t see their prices. I called to place my order and to see how much dishes were. My uncle wanted to try their Rockfish, shrimp and scallops special, but thought it was too expensive for $ 30. We decided to get some cheaper dishes, considering it would be our first time eating from there. My uncle got their Pad Kratiam dish with shrimp. I ordered the Massaman curry with chicken. We decided to get the Chicken Satay for an appetizer. I got there and the interior was really nice, the lady at the front was also nice and polite. The food smelled good as I drove back home. However I was disappointed to see that they didn’t give a lot of food for my uncle. It also didn’t look good and he wasn’t impressed by it. His food tasted like the Korean shrimp crackers we get. My curry was okay, wish it had more flavor(spicier!!), and the peanuts weren’t toasted. The chicken satay was okay, kind of tough and dry. The peanut sauce it came with was good though. Would consider going back, considering they’re the only Thai place in the area.

It’s hard to believe that Gloucester, Va has a Thai restaurant at all, yet alone one that is this good! Best Drunken Noodles around!

Authentic Thai. A family run business and the mother is from Thailand and still cooks. Her son is the manager and a waiter. Good food, a nicer restaurant. We have tried the pumpkin curry chicken(my husband loved), pad Thai, drunken noodles, Thai fried rice and wontons. Everything was good, the wontons were not that special for my liking.

Great place for a date, especially in the summer to sit outside. Food was amazing. Staff was very attentive. Prices were reasonable. Recommend to everyone.

The derive from my waiter was fantastic! The food was amazing as always, but in my new shrimp lettuce wraps I found what I thought was pin bones. My waiter brought out the items I question two cellophane noodles and informed me that I was mistaken it was uncooked noodles that I had encountered! I was fine with that, but one they didn’t own up to even that mistake. Having been a waitress, but I enjoy going places I chilled some on that. Then the kicker. Who I found out to be the manger on duty While standing in front of another table said, «Those little noodles sneak up on ya!» Seriously in front of another table, where the whole side of the restaurant could hear. Usually I have a great sense of humor! But I had just gotten out of the hospital last week been cooking at home and the only thing I wanted was lettuce wraps nothing I made compared. I’m done I’ll just do without! It was rude, not funny AT, and all disrespectful. While he might not of thought anything of it where he was, how he said it, and his actions spoke volumes. I won’t be going back.

Very nice restaurant. The inside is very tidy and bright the staff is very friendly and helpful. My wife and I shared Fried Wonton and Pan Fried Dumplings appetizers. She enjoyed Chicken Pad Thai, and I had the Chicken Green Curry. Both were excellent, and the right size for a lunch portion. I recommend this restaurant if you’re in the area and have a hankering for Thai.

Had a craving for Thai food and was happy to find this place right up the road. My husband and I both enjoyed the atmosphere and food. We ordered the Spring Rolls and a Spicy Tuna sushi roll for appetizers. The spicy tuna was fresh and a true tribute to how sushi should taste, prepared and served. Spring rolls also tasted great cooked just right. Crispy and not burnt. I had a chicken curry and was very happy with the serving size and flavor. Husband ordered the duck curry and was pleased as well. As for service. The waiter was a little slow to take our order but was very friendly and helpful with my questions. The other members of the staff helped with clearing the table and making sure we had water. All and all it was a great time and good good.

This is one of my favorite places to eat. The food is fantastic. The service is wonderful – attentive, but mostly leaves you alone to enjoy your food and your guests. The place is locally owned and operated. My parents have eaten there regularly for years, taking my son with them. Now when my wife and I go, the owner immediately recognizes my son and makes him special drinks and deserts. We drive right past the Thai restaurant 5 minutes from our house to go over the bridge, pay the toll, and drive the 90 minutes round trip to come here instead.

Service can be downright non existent sometimes. However, I never mind bc the food is outstanding! Sashimi is always top notch as well as pad Thai meals. Yum.

It’s so nice to find a great Thai restaurant while traveling! Despite arriving with 4 kids, we were seated promptly and politely(not always the case). Our waiter was really nice and funny, joked with the kids, but also did his job well. The food was very good, my kids had the battered Tofu appetizer, Drunken noodles with chicken, Pad kee Mao with tofu, hubby had Panang Chicken, and I had Rama Tofu. All were tasty and had lots of fresh veggies. The only reason for 4 stars over 5, were the portions were too small, we left a bit hungry still. Price wise, for Thai, it’s moderate, about $ 10 a plate. I’ve paid far more for crappy Thai, so overall we were very happy with our visit. If we’re ever traveling this way again we’ll definitely be back, probably just order extra appetizers :)

One of my all time favorite restaurants. I’ve been eating here since they opened and the food is always phenomenal. By far the best restaurant in the area. I almost always order Pad Thai — rice noodles sautéed with chicken, pork, shrimp or tofu, scallions, egg, green beens, cabbage, carrots and bean sprouts with crushed peanuts and a lime. You can order no spice, mild, medium, hot, or Thai hot. I like mine a little spicy so I order medium and my boyfriend orders Thai hot which tastes awesome but I can’t handle a whole plate of it. I also recommend trying: Drunken Noodle: wide rice noodles sautéed with choice of chicken, pork, or shrimp, green beans, bell peppers and basil leaves Pad See-ew: choice of pork, chicken, or shrimp with wide rice noodles and broccoli with sweet sauce Cashew Chicken: marinated chicken sautéed with cashew nuts, onions, and sweet bell peppers in brown sauce. And for starters both the fresh and crispy spring rolls are awesome. The staff is always really friendly and the atmosphere is elegant, clean and peaceful. This is always my choice for date night.

Love, love, LOVE this restaurant. I’ve had Thai food all over the world and this place is by far my favorite. My mother and I are regulars. I even brought my finicky boyfriend who only eats bad Chinese takeout and the food turned him in to a believer. The décor is lovely and inviting. There is always a fresh flower on the table. They have live music some nights and they have a lovely patio for al fresco dining. I will say on certain occasions the service has been spotty, but now that we come all the time the waiter even remembers that my mother loves the Pineapple Fried Rice. The sushi is GREAT! Every dish, except for maybe the noodle soup has been amazing. Everything is always so fresh and flavorful and never greasy(even the fried items). I’m anxious to try a Happy Hour after work one of these day. They make some great drinks as well! When in Gloucester you MUST try it!

The food and service are somewhat forgettable, while the interior décor and setting along Main Street are the redeeming qualities. I met my friend here for dinner, who was visiting family«out yonder» in Matthews. This was actually my suggestion as it is the favorite local spot of one of my co-workers from Gloucester. It seems to be pretty popular with the community in general as it was nearly full on a Saturday night. The setting is really nice. Brightly colored walls with lots of potted plants, white table cloths and low hanging modern light fixtures at each table. I also took note that there were at least a half dozen tables outside on the patio overlooking Main Street(though surprisingly not being taken advantage of on this pleasant evening in mid spring). Our server was incredibly friendly and I don’t think he ever stopped smiling from ear to ear. He was pretty slow checking on us, however, especially in taking our initial order. They did have restaurant runners filling waters and bringing out the food. As for the food, it didn’t jump out as being anything special. The fresh spring rolls were pretty small, especially for the price. I had the pad see ew with chicken, and I felt like they skimped on the chicken a bit and the vegetables were overcooked. I ordered it Thai hot and felt that the spice level was quite mild. My friend had the red curry with pork and seemed to really enjoy it. While not a bad experience(especially considering it’s ethnic food in a rural town), I’m not in a rush to go back and try anything else. I found downtown Gloucester CH to be quite charming and there are a few other cute-looking restaurants along Main that I’d like to try when I go back. I found it amusing that Bangkok Noi advertised $ 5 breakfast with a picture of eggs, bacon and toast. You don’t see that at most Thai restaurants.

Panang curry so good! I like this place because it seriously brings the heat. I ordered my curry at the hottest level and it was so hot and delicious. Good sized portion with plenty of meat, your choice of chicken or beef for $ 14. My appetizer of fried tofu was super bland. Prices seem a little higher than other Thai restaurants in Hampton Roads, but quality is high. Lots of seafood specials when I was here on a Saturday night. Would love to try the whole fried fish next time! Good service, pretty décor, and nice and quiet atmosphere. FYI, no beer served.

Things that make ya go Hmmmmmm So … Day one, based on the reviews I decided to give this restaurant a shot. All I wanted was a quick beer at the bar and carry out which I got, service a little slow, but I got it. The Massamun Curry was acceptable, sauce a little runny but it was okay. So much so, I decided to try again So now we come to Day 2… I decided to have a couple of drinks and dinner at the bar since I didn’t have to get up quite so early. When I arrived there were six people sitting at the bar and I grabbed one of the last chairs. Over the next 10 minutes all six people payed the bills had the placemats and area cleaned by the bartender and left. At no time in that 10 minutes did the bartender even acknowledge my existence. I know I wasn’t wearing my invisible shirt because people have been talking to me all day long. Granted I realize he was busy but how much time does it really take to say«I’m busy, I’ll be with you in a minute» Finally when everyone was gone and the bar shined like a well cleaned Jewel, I thought surely he would at least acknowledge my existence and tell me it would be a minute or two… or horror of horrors actually ask me what I would like… but imagine my surprise as he walked away to do something in the back room. Now, I know what you’re thinking, you’re thinking that I probably did something to make him unhappy on day one… But that’s the weird thing, on day one I was polite and courteous and over tipped. Consequently there was no reason that I know of to be completely ignored. So after another minute or two sitting at the bar being ignored by everyone I decided perhaps there was probably another establishment in Glouchester Virginia that would actually be happy to take my money, I left. Strangely…the next place I went was more than happy to see me walk through the front door and wasted no time in acknowledging my existence and inquiring what I would like. On my next trip to Gloucester Virginia I think I have learned my lesson at this place… DONTWEARYOURINVISIBLESHIRT.
