We went a few weeks ago to buy some live lobsters. They have a sign on Rogers Street that says ‘Live Lobsters $ 5.99′. It was 11:30 and they were opening for lunch. They were cleaning up from the night before and the place was a mess. We asked for a couple of live lobsters and the gal said she would have to ask someone. A guy walked by and she asked him if we could buy some chicken lobsters … 1.25 pounders. He said no, not today, and kept walking. We asked the gal what they could sell us and when she finally got the guy’s attention he said 1 pounders and walked away again. The person manning the ordering station should know what is available that day and should have a helpful attitude, rather than being dour. I can’t speak to the food there as we left. They have a superb location right on the 7 Seas Wharf and if we had been treated better, we would have added it to the regular oceanfront rotation of places we go to for apps and drinks. Really unimpressed with their ‘customer service’.

We happen to come upon this place just walking around showing an out-of-town friend around. We liked the fact we could sit outside and watch the action on the water. We had the clam chowder(very creamy and thick), double lobster(easy to crack open and eat) and peel and eat shrimp(nothing fancy there). We had a great time and the food was excellent. My only issue was that there were no bibs for eating the lobster.

As fresh as it gets. As simple as possible… whole boiled lobster with butter and a Beer. Perfect coastal setting.

This is a seafood market on the wharf overlooking the vessels coming in to deliver lobsters to the cook. This all took place in area covering about 200 square feet. So seriously, how can you get fresher? You can’t. I was told in Boston when I was getting ready to begin my drive up the coast to Portland on my lobster fest that basically every chef cooks the lobsters the same way, so all you are paying more for is the atmosphere and the side dishes — but being from Texas I was on a search and destroy mission with Lobsta on the brain, I don’t need no stinkin side dishes! This place delivered three nice size, fresh off the boat(I mean I saw them come off the boat) lobstas for $ 32. A KILLA Deal!
