I felt compelled to write a review of this place after how much of a find it was. We were headed to Jay Peak for vacation and happened upon this place to save some money vs the general store at Jay which is RIDICULOUSLYEXPENSIVE! Anyway this place has everything you could want or need for your vacation and the prices are super reasonable like almost the same as my local walmart for food. We easily saved over $ 50 by coming here. Also the animals are pretty cool even if a little grim(we are animal lovers). The cashier was super friendly and explained about the baby bear not being shot which made us feel at least a little bit better. Highly recommended!!!

Just stopped at Currier’s Market in Glover, Vermont in Vermont’s Northeast Kingdom. Visiting for the weekend and needed to get some food. Deli closed at 3PM so just missed it but they had made up a lot of deli items. I decided on homemade chili — it is to die for — as good as my own! Well, maybe a tad better! And homemade rhubarb pie — double-die for — absolutely succulent. Great selection of wines and even some local gift items. Best store I’ve been to in the surrounding area. Staff was friendly — customers in and out. A great visit. THANKYOU!

We love Currier’s and wouldn’t change a thing about it. Miss it when we are in CA and cannot wait to return to Vermont to step across the threshold. Then we know we are home.

I am torn about this business. On one hand, they are a family-owned local business with a long proud history. On the other hand, I hate going there because of the many, many taxidermied animal festooning the store, from whole moose to a tiny baby deer and a bitty bear cub(for the record, the latter two were not shot for sport as the others were — but I still don’t like seeing them). In my opinion, dusty stuffed dead animals are creepy and off-putting. And then there’s the gun counter, decorated with framed photos of both Bush presidents and Ronald Reagan. I mean, if you’re gonna put our politics out there like that, you can expect that people will judge our business on them, either negatively or positively as the case may be. In my case it is a negative. Altogether, the atmosphere of the store creeps me out, and FYI you probably don’t want to bring a small child there. My 3 year old nephew hated it the dead animals and was almost in tears. So yeah… after this most recent experience, I decided that I am not going to let our family friend drag me there anymore — I don’t have any desire to spend another dollar there. If you want to support a great, authentic, historic, family-owned general store, Willey’s in Greensboro is only 10 minutes away and is MUCH more family-friendly.

It’s an all in one store. You’ve got the butcher, the P.O. boxes, the stuffed wildlife, the food, the gas, the hunting and fishing supplies — there’s just everything. It is a classic NEK store. Slow down as you enter town cuz you have to stop in this family run business. If you’re driving to fast, you’ll pass this little gem up.

OMG, if you want a real taste of the North East Kingdom one must stop in Currier’s Market in the small town of Glover, VT. Currier’s is an old general store with a little of everything. It’s one stop shopping here. The one attraction and specialty is that It’s filled with real stuffed wildlife from floor to ceiling. Fish, bear, a WHITE deer, fisher cat, beaver, bobcat this place is like a museum. All mentioned is arranged in narrow aisles and old oiled hardwood floors that creek when you walk over them. The meat counter is is classic Norman Rockwell. I think I saw moose and venison for sale when in season. Currier’s also has a hunting and fishing dept with rods, lures, and such. Come in the fall and see the moose and deer get weighed and tagged. This place is like going back 60 years in time. Great selection of VT products as well. Its located on Rt 16 in the heart of Glover. Don’t blink, you will miss it. Not far off I 91.(Barton Exit.)
