In April 2012 I made a $ 200 deposit with Godfrey Tours and Charter to provide transportation for guests at my wedding in May. We were unsure if we would need the buses, but I was assured that my deposit was 100% refundable if we did not require their services. Prior to my wedding, I alerted them that I would not need their services and anticipated my refund. Five months AFTER my wedding, I finally received my refund. When I called to check on my refund in July, I was told that my refund had been mailed. Thinking I may have forgotten about it, I asked for proof of their canceled check — none was provided. Instead, I was asked to provide proof of MY canceled deposit check in order to get my refund. I emailed proof on August 18, and followed up with a phone call Sept. 10 and was told my email was diverted to spam, was only recently found, and my check was in the mail that past Saturday. After my check was returned to sender after being addressed improperly, I was told my check would be sent overnight. When I never received the check overnight, I was told overnight mail cost $ 18 and they instead put it back in regular mail. I finally received my check in early October, one full week after I last called about my refund. Terrible follow-through, poor customer service, and disorganization would best describe my experience with this vendor. I would not recommend anyone use their services.
