Please try this place. I had the curry lamb which was outstanding. With it came some of the best hummus I’ve ever eaten. Also, they bake their bread fresh and bring it inflated, still hot from the oven. I ordered the Turkish coffee which i felt was the best coffee ive ever tasted. No complaints. At all.

I got the chicken Shawarma and it was very good. The pita was yummy too as well as the hummus. I just wish they were located in Boulder where I live. Service was great and friendly too.

They are still setting up their dinning area, because of the change in ownership. but it hasn’t affected the food. We had the grape leaves for our appetizer, that were moist, tender and tasty. the combo plate with gyro and chicken sawarhma meat, rice, and hummus was tender and flavored perfectly. The freshly made pita bread was bigger than their entrée plate! my husband had the lamb kabobs that were very good. he also ordered the rice pudding for dessert that he said was very good. Service was fast and attentive. Looking forward to going back to try something else. Great little place!

Wow yum. They cook fresh pita in the wood fired oven to order and it comes out poofed up and so fluffy. The vegetarian entrée is out of control delicious and enough for 2 to share.

I honestly don’t know which was better, the food or the service. Our server, Aseel, was so warm and friendly, and Ali, the new owner and chef, was a delight. Completely impressed with the pita bread, which is made-to-order in house. I would go back for the pita and hummus alone. I got the meat combo, which came with chicken, lamb and kafta. That was the best kafta I’ve had. One of my co-workers got the lamb shank and he said his was good also. Highly recommend this spot.

Wonderfully quaint – friendly, kind staff and delicious food, especially the pita bread that comes puffed up like a balloon fresh out of the wood fire oven.

I have been a fan of Amira since it first opened. I love Mediterranean food and like to stop for take out on my way up the mountain from work. When I called the other night to place my order, I was a bit concerned when I asked to substitute tabouleh for the cabbage salad and was told that they don’t have cabbage any longer. I then drove up and noticed the change from Amira to Amir grill on their sign, again making me wonder if the food would be as good as I have come to expect. Not to fear, when I got home and tasted the kafta kabob, I was in awe at the wonderful flavor and firm meaty texture. It makes the old Amira version seem like a flavorless ground beef stick. The tabouleh and baba ganouj are delicious and perfectly spiced as well. Kudos to the new owner and I look forward to many happy returns. If you like Kafta, it’s the best I’ve had in the Denver area if not anywhere!

If you have been to Amira Grill before then you know how awesome they are. However it my displeasure to announce that things have changed. When walking in I was suspect that it said Amir Grill now. I thought perhaps they needed to change their name due to copyright reasons perhaps. I sat down and was handed a menu. There was black sharpie all over the menu(including the«a» in Amira). It seemed really odd. However most of the markings were over the word«fries». So they just must no longer put fries in most of their sandwiches. I placed my normal order and that is when it really began to sink in that this was simply an imposter. Our hummus arrived in a plastic bowl. No longer did we get what used to be a freshly prepared hummus with fixins. Now what we got was something that appeared to be prepared earlier in the day with oil quickly thrown on top and dusted with red spice. Clearly not the hummus that I have grown to expect and anticipate. Then the fresh pita arrived. It looked slightly different. And was slightly under cooked. I figured perhaps it was an off day. None the less I was excited for my gyro. Perhaps the best gyro sandwich in town. It has never disappointed me. When it arrived it was slightly bigger than normal. But that’s where the excitement ended. This was not the same at all. Before every bite was heavenly, it used to have a little bit of everything in every savory bite. No longer. This is someone just impersonating the best. This is just now Amir(a) Grill. Clearly they sold this place and weren’t allowed to use the same name. So lets drop the«a» and hopefully no one notices. Well I noticed, others beware.

Yup, I’m actually comfortable giving this place 5 stars for the entire experience. I actually tried this place for the first time because a colleague wanted to go and I was beyond happy with the entire experience. The moment we sat down, our waitress was extremely nice and helpful. The food itself was a lot better than I had anticipated. We went with a few things on the menu because my friend wanted to try them and they were all good. I would highly recommend the Amira pizza and the wrap we had was pretty darn good too. The food was also extremely cheap for the size. I am not sure why this place has a $$ price rating because I remember expecting something smaller for the price but it was actually pretty big. I would definitely suggest this place to anyone in the area. I’d probably be considered a very picky eater but even I was extremely satisfied with Amira.

We made a stop into downtown Golden before I had to take my sister and niece back to the airport. We decided to drive out of downtown to try Amira, and I’m sure glad we did. Amira is not in the charming western tourist area, rather it is located in a small strip mall, but it is open, clean and pleasant inside. We were running tight on time, but were served in a reasonable amount of time and did not experience any slowness that the other reviewers mentioned. The owner did inform us that some of the main dishes were not available for lunch. I asked the owner what he suggested and ordered the Indian chicken biryani which was not on the menu. This was very tender, juicy and well seasoned with lots of flavor — delicious. My niece ordered the gyro plate, which had small chunks of gyro meat and both my chicken and her gyro melted in your mouth. I’m looking forward to go back and try some more dishes and have that biryani chicken again!

I live in Parker and would legitimately consider moving to Golden if I could eat this food every day. Unbelievably good!

This place is casual and delicious and many items on the menu are very cheap. Their pita is fresh and brought out fully puffed straight out of the oven. Their plates are all super good, as are their sandwiches which are cheap($ 5 for a huge chicken gyro). The hummus app is huge and I always bring leftovers home. The service can be very slow, it’s difficult to get a drink refilled when there is more than a table or two in the restaurant. They always seem understaffed and busy, but the food usually comes out within a half hour in my experience which is fine. The plates can be a little inconsistent, sometimes missing some small items I’m assuming because they are out of it. The hours are a little weird it seems like they are closed at least 2 days out of the week. The weekend they serve Lebanese food off a separate menu, but you can order off both. Even with the slow service I consider it to be one of the best restaurants in Golden because the food is so freaking delicious.

Best Mediterranean in town. The Kafta sandwich is my go to, but we’ve loved very thing we’ve ordered here. The pita is the bomb too. A must stop if you’re in Golden.

Really, really, REALLYGOOD! Get the Amira Vegetarian entrée, even if you want a meat dish. This place is great. Staff are very friendly and the food came out reasonably fast. I left feeling almost painfully stuffed, it was so good.

I had falafel sandwich and foul hummus. I must say this was one of the most authentic tasting lebanese I have tried. I grew up in saudi arabia, so I am always looking for the authenticity that reminds me of my childhood. This food made me happy. They bake fresh pita bread which is amazing. Very few places do that. Only negative is this place looks like they are short on staff. The older gentleman did his best to serve and be hospitable. I will definitely go back to this place if I am in the area.

Amazingly fresh food… I am usually sceptical in trying new places, I am extremely glad that I did. The new owner is warm and very friendly :-) Their menu has a great variety… You have got to give this place a try!

This place makes the absolute most amazing pita I have ever tasted. They make each one fresh to order, and it arrives warm, tender, and delicately sweet. And then they make PIZZAONIT. GETTHEAMIRAPIZZA. Get it with chicken and have them add onions to it. Their shawarma chicken is so flavorful, well-marinaded, and tender. Coupled with the tahini, cheese, hot sauce, and the crunch of the onions, this is the most unique and delicious pizza I have ever tasted it. And at $ 7.54 after tax, it is an unbelievable deal. You’d be paying twice as much for a comparable pizza loaded with artificial ingredients and hydrogenated oils from Domino’s. Seriously, I’ve been getting this pizza 2 – 3 times a week for the past several months. Their customer service and English could be a *little* better, but trust me, the food is worth it.

Chicken shawarma plate-arrived with tender chicken on a bed of whipped hummus– a side of cabbage salad, garlic sauce, pickled peppers and a sizable flat bread to soak it all up. Delicious!
