Mike was very thorough and took extra time with me. I had to cancel on him a few times because the loan kept getting delayed and the customer service each time was great. I would definitely recommend him. His prices were also very reasonable.

Mike was recommended to us when we were buying our first home.
UNFORTUNATELY we had to use Mike twice — his first inspection revealed all sorts of issues that we hadn’t noticed in our house hunting. That was our problem, though, not Mike’s! He did a fantastic job pouring through every nook and cranny of the house, and his report was easy to understand. There were pictures of every issue he found, with clear markings so there was no doubt where, or what the issues were. He was happy to share with us as he went through the house, and handled the crowd (we’re first time homebuyers… so parents everywhere) well. He verified our major appliances were functioning, and because of their age. he also made sure we knew what to look for, knowing they were towards the end of their lifespan.
When we finally found a house that was in good condition, Mike was eager to share with us all the «must knows» about our house — this seems above and beyond for an inspector. Yes, he tore about the place apart looking for concerns, but he also took the time to show us where all of our important shut offs were, and how to do maintenance on our major appliances (furnace, water heater, humidifier). He even gave us a GREAT first time home buyer manual that is very thorough — pictures, diagrams, and how-to’s for general home care.
We also used Mike for the sewer scope. Our phones weren’t smart enough to use his fancy app, but it sure sounded nice! As someone who engineers buried pipe for a living, I found his summary of our pipes thorough. In the house we didn’t end up buying, he even flagged out where the sag point was in our pipe in the front yard.
Mike’s secretaries were cheery and easy to work with every time I interacted with them. They provided me quick, accurate quotes, and scheduled me with a smile. Can’t recommend DayStar enough :) thanks, Mike!

Our realtor recommended DayStar Inspections before the purchase of our new home.
