Pho Golden

Went to Golden Phở last night and did a to go order. Got horrible service just for to go. I asked for more sauces and they would not give any more sauce to me unless I bought a whole bottle!!! I was willing to pay for a couple extra sauces!!! Not a whole bottle of Sauces. Rude people due to them not understanding any English. This was the worst Phở Restaurant I’ve ever been to. I will never go back. I will make the drive to another Phở Restaurant. I live 1.5miles and with the weather here we love eat Phở. If you are looking on these reviews the stars should be 0 due to their customer service lack of English and the amount of food you receive.

So sad that a restaurant with uniquely good food in the kitchen has such abysmal service in the dining room. I won’t be back.

Good ambiance. 5 page menu that has a potential to be confusing.
No one in the wait staff speaks English well. Questions are met with a nod and smile and then leaving the table.
When the food was brought it was typical. Certainly not the best I’ve had. No reappearance of the wait staff till it was time to pay
The phở is ok and they are not generous with meat. Could do better 10 minutes away

Best Phở broth in Golden. Could have more meat for high price but still good. Their Thai tea could be improved. My best friend’s favorite pad Thai is surprisingly from here.

This place is terrible.
I ordered the vegetarian vermicelli noodles with tofu and veggies. I told them no fish sauce (I’m allergic to it). When I got my order it had oyster sauce all over it. I could smell it before trying it. I told the lady I ordered without fish sauce. Her reply was that her manager is gone so she can’t cook it. I asked for my money back and they wouldn’t give it back!!! They told my husband to eat it!!! That place is a pile of crap! Wasted 10.00 bucks! I think I dropped the F bomb on her twice. Ridiculous! If she couldn’t cook it without fish oil why didn’t she say something when I ordered??? Half of their lights are out in the dining area. Are they too broke to buy light bulbs!!!
Do yourself a favor and go to belmar for phở.

Best ever phở I ever tasted. We tried phở, fried rice, hot pot and fry noodle, everything is perfect. The desserts are wonderful too. Highly recommended.

I come from Seattle where there are a lot of great Phở restaurants that are reasonably priced. If you want a great tasting bowl of Phở, then I would go somewhere else. It was not enough noodle or meat and the broth left something to be desired. Now if the price were lowered, then I might be more inclined to eat there.
I did notice that a lot of people show up there for take-​out so maybe their take-​out (non-​phở) is way better!

Disclaimer: Honestly, this place recives about three stars, but it being the only phở location in Golden bumps it up to 4 stars.
I have been living in Golden since this place opened up. And I was so excited for a phở place to be nearby rather than be miles away on Federal. The food here is alright as a whole, but it definitely cannot compete with the phở on Federal. But, its location definitely makes it convenient for us in Golden.
I usually come here to get my phở fix and it does help. Recently, I’ve noticed that they’ve added tripe and tendon to their phở menu. Yay for more authenticity (sort of). On their phở, I definitely say they skimp out on the meat compared to Federal restaurants. And they tend to charge a higher price as well.
I also recently tried their grilled pork spring rolls. I thought the pork was cooked well. Also, the roll held together well as you ate it. They’ll give you a fish sauce dip for the rolls, but they’ll be happy to give you a peanut sauce dip if you ask.

I love this place. The fact that they offer vegetarian phở makes this one of the top restaurants on my list! The food is fresh and always delicious.

We just tried Golden Phở two days ago and were pleasantly surprised. We normally have Phở at a cool little place on Federal Blvd, but were in Golden, so decided to give it a try.
We were immediately seated. The waitress was very nice and efficient, although her english was a bit hard to undertand. We ordered two medium bowls and they came about 10 minutes later. The portion was huge, the flavor was excellent, and they were piping hot! We also had spring rolls and they were fresh and crisp. We enjoyed it very much. Highly recommended.

This place has a great selection — noodle soup, noodle plate, rice, etc etc.
I ordered the shrimp phở. I got a medium, which came in a pretty huge bowl! Traditional sides. The broth I thought was quite flavorful. Good place to grab lunch or casual dinner.

A girlfriend of mine took me here and I am addicted now. Cannot wait to try more items on their menu.
I loved the chicken pad Thai– great level of heat and flavor
Tofu Papaya salad — awesome way to start your meal with this different and satisfying salad
Scrimp Spring Roll also was great!

I’ve come here twice and had the same problem twice — the noodles in the phở were undercooked. On the second occasion I decided to point it out, so they took my bowl and clearly re-​heated it in an attempt to cook the noodles more; the result was still undercooked noodles but now over cooked vegetables.
I really wanted to like this place but they are insisting on this problem I won’t be coming back.
They get 2 stars only because my friend really enjoyed the pad Thai so apparently hey can do some things right.
But if your name has «phở» in the title you should get that right.

Just as good as many of the phở spots on federal. I’ve probably been here more times than any other restaurant in Colorado. Really confused about the reviews complaining about poor customer service. I’ve been here 30+ times and am always treated extremely kindly. All of my friends who frequent Phở Golden say the same.
Conclusion: Great place. Ignore the high-​maintenance whiners in the review section.

I’ve had one terrible experience here and a few okay experiences.
Let me preface this by saying I know that you don’t have to devein shrimp. but it seems to be common practice in my experience. I prefer not to have the gritty texture that comes with leaving the intestinal track in. So I ordered a dish with shrimp in it and I noticed that the shrimp wasnt deveined, so I decided to remove the shrimp and eat the rest of the dish. The attentive waitress noticed and asked what was wrong. I explained that I didn’t like how the shrimp was cleaned and she decided to touch all my food and clean them right there at the table! It was the most outrageous thing I’ve ever experienced at a restaurant. Who knows how clean her hands were. And even if they were clean I just don’t want someone to touch all of my food while I’m eating!
After that experience, I’m surprised I ever went back. But I do love phở and this was the only place in Golden I could get some. So I’ve been back but I’ve never ordered shrimp again…
PS. cheap beer if you’re into that kind of thing.

This place wasn’t as good as I remember it being when we visited a couple years ago. We had the steamed dumplings for an appetizer, which were absolutely fine, and the dipping sauce had good flavor (hard to mess up anything soy based). I had the Phở Chay (vegetable phở, with vegetable broth). My vegetables were fresh, which was a plus, but the broth was flavorless without the addition of copious amounts of Sriracha. My partner ordered the phở with rare steak and brisket, but it came with NO brisket. The rare steak was unseasoned, and his broth, too, lacked flavor. I also had a White Russian which was microscopic and didn’t seem to actually contain any alcohol (apparently I need to stop wasting my money).
The worst part of the experience: For most of the meal, an older woman who worked there (who was not our server) stood staring at me (without even trying to hide it) from a mere 15 feet away. I have no idea why. Did she think I was her long-​lost, Caucasian daughter? Whatever the reason, it certainly made it uncomfortable to look up and, every single time, meet her eye.

This place is absolutely horrible! I have given it multiple shots and after being treated with the worst customer service of my life I will never eat here again!
On several occasions my food has taken over 2 hours for delivery when told 30minutes, upon calling to inquire as to where the order is they are rude and unapologetic. Today I ordered after waiting and hour fifteen I called and they said it would be on its way in five minutes, after waiting another 45 minutes I callback and ask for the manager, he tells me they have no driver today and I need to come get it myself! No discount no apology just rude! I tell him how outrageous this is and the manager cussed me out and hung up do not support this business!
On top of the horrible service the food is over priced and very mediocre, the proportions are half the size and twice the price. The utensils and bowls are dirty and the staff is just plain mean.

I wish I could give this place 5 stars… but I just can’t. The food is wonderful and so delicious, the service… well, that’s my main complaint. They are always busy when I dine-​in and it seems like there is only one server. She is great by the way — just has too many tables to be able to handle by herself. If they could hire at least one more server, this place would be awesome!
The B3 Vermicelli Grilled Chicken Noodle Bowl is what I usually order and I feel that you can’t go wrong with this dish. :) For starters, try the Crispy Cheese Crab Wontons — Mmmm!

Horrible, miserable customer service for pick up or delivery. My family called three times just tonight, and three times we were put on hold for between 3 – 5 minutes, after which we were hung up on. When on the last attempt I refused to be put on hold and indicated they kept hanging up on me, the response was that I must have hung up on myself. Seriously? (I was on speaker phone so, uh, no).
Basic Phở food. It’s fine phở and your only choice in Golden so I suppose they can keep mistreating customers until there is some competition.

Decent for phở in Golden.
Service is slow – took nearly ten minutes to just get water, even though the party next to us who came after got theirs promptly. My friend had to go get her own to-​go container when they didn’t bring it upon request. I believe we spent 45 minutes total there… three people, three bowls of phở, no extra items. Not very ideal for what is supposed to be a «quick lunch».
I ordered the small bowl and I think their medium is what other places consider «small». The actual taste and flavor of the food was good, though. Not outstanding, but good.
I do like all the plants thriving about the restaurant.
