It was a great breakfast and wonderful service! Plus the restaurant had a great feel to it. There is a simple app called No Wait and we were seated when we arrived.

Lovely little place. I had the buffalo chicken wrap and the sweet potato soup. Both were great, and service was excellent. Plus they give a discount to veterans and those that work at the VA next door.

The food here is very good, the coffee is mediocre at best but you can never depend on the hours. Some days they will be open until 3 pm other days 2pm or when I went today at 1pm they were already closed. I have also experienced them running out of food several times and the service is very slow.

I just ordered the house salad with chicken. They forgot to put the grilled apples on it and the blackberry balsamic dressing had the taste and consistency of jam. But, the salad was incredible anyway! I agree that they are very slow. I stood at the counter for five minutes before anyone took my order. It was twenty minutes from when I walked in to when I received my to-go order. This is a bit irritating when you only have a thirty minute lunch break. FYI there is a sign on the door stating that they take their last order at 1:50 pm.

Really great food. Had the Reuben it was great. The marbled rye was thick and delicious. The seats in some of the booths could stand recovering. That does not take away the high quality of their food!

Excellent lunch stop! Food is fresh and delicious! We had the Mediterranean salad and it was full of wonderful tasty tidbits! I also enjoyed the roasted turkey with avocado. Nice size portions and great service! The ice tea is freshly brewed and very good. It is a clean establishment as well.

I was in Golden and was craving some coffee and this was the nearest location. I went early in the morning so there wasn’t any problem parking and there were not that many people in there so my order didn’t take that long. The service was pretty good, the lady was really nice and was conversational. I ordered a regular latte, it was alright nothing really special about it. One benefit is that they give discounts to assorted professionals so that’s always a plus. I would probably go there again if I was in the area and had another hankering for coffee.

I really enjoy the food here and have been happy every time I’ve been, about five times. It’s a clean, cute place too. BUT don’t come here if you’re in a rush. They take out 10 mins to make a sandwich even for take out. Or call your order in ahead of time. Also, there website is down. So I took a shot of their take-out menu and added to the images.

Current Review — Service has dramatically improved at R&T. I will admit that the portions generally are huge, so for the money it probably isn’t a bad deal. On the other hand, most of us would be happy with a portion 1⁄3 smaller and a price reflective of such. Lori is working to continuously improve. They have since added a grill on the patio but they don’t always have it open. The quality of the food is such that 4 or even 5 stars is possible, but there are still little details(such as speed of service and consistency) that can be addressed. BTW, I work in the same building and visit the café at least 4 times a week. Old Review — Showed up at 1:00 pm to get a bite for lunch and the kitchen was closed because, supposedly, they ran out of food. Seriously, a restaurant running out of food is like a gas station with no gas. Ugh.

So I had been to this place a few times for coffee before meetings, but then needed a quick lunch one day a few weeks ago and went in expecting the typical Sandwich fare. I generally don’t buy sandwiches at restaraunts as I really don’t understand why someone would pay just to have anothermperson put cold cuts or tuna etc… on bread and charge you $ 10. That is the prelude. So, here, they talked up their Rueben sandwich and their own version named after the chef, the Stueben sandwich. I have been in Colorado 30 years and never had one of these that was worth a hoot out here. That is just something done best back east at the great delis like Katz.‘s…until now. The Rueben/Stueben at Roast and Toast is AWESOME and will keep you full all damn day!!! Piles of meat and slatherings of melted cheese. Fuuhhhggeettaboutit!!! Great job you guys. I’ll be back!!!

The food here is very bland and uninspired. A great restaurant is started by someone who is passionate about preparing great food; these people probably just wanted to quit their day jobs and start a business.

I’m sad to say that the service has deteriorated since I was there the first time. The food is still good, but it took them a half an hour to get me a sandwich. Thats all it was, and I was in a time crunch. It was still good tasting, but I’m afraid that they won’t last too long. It was the height of lunch, and there were very few people there. I have a feeling that its because of this problem. They had only one person in the kitchen at the height of lunch. If they don’t fix it, they will have problems. Otherwise, I would still recommend it.

My wife discovered this place on her commute to work. It’s a little off the beaten path and not a place you might accidentally stumble on, but it’s worth seeking out. GREAT espresso. Always fresh and never tastes stale. I drink americanos, so i get my fair share of stale espresso from coffee shops, never here. And for food, by far the BEST Reuben sandwich I’ve ever had. They make everything from scratch and I can’t get enough of it. I’m a bit of a sandwich snob, and I’d drive very far out of my way for their Reuben. I’ve had a few of their salads and other sandwiches as well and am never disappointed. Always fresh, always delicious. Staff is super nice as well. Remember our names and always chat with us about how we’re doing. Go here. Go here now. Get the Reuben.

I happened upon this café after a visit to the doctor. I felt better already… love this place! Everything I’ve gotten from sandwiches, coffee and bakery items were all wonderful. My teen daughter loves the Nicole sandwich, but she adds their applewood bacon. I have returned many times and I’m always pleased. They even have Southern sweet tea!

Happened upon this place after doing some business at the court house. I’ve been back twice since then. My husband gets the smothered burrito with sausage and it is not the hugest thing, but it’s compact and full of flavor. I get the sausage, egg and cheese breakfast bagel sandwich and it is BIG and DELICIOUS and my favorite thing ever. The coffee could be improved upon; it’s kind of weak.

I work nearby and stopped by for the first time to grab breakfast this morning. Everything on the menu looks mouthwateringly fresh and delicious. I got a breakfast burrito which hit the spot… it had goat cheese, which was different but yummy! I will definitely be back again… I have to try their salad with the blackberry balsamic dressing… it sounds divine. The owners are really friendly too… it’s definitely a place worth checking out!
