I purchased a spyderco knife at the outlet about a month ago, Within 2 weeks the blade bent, I took it back to see about there lifetime warranty and they told me there was nothing they could do. shop else wear. Spent $ 120 for a knife that bent in 2 weeks. Very disappointed

I was in town and took the ride to Golden. The drive alone is beautiful and worth the visit. The employees inside of the store were very helpful and easily answered all of my questions. I bought a couple of knives because too many is not really a problem anyone has and enjoyed seeing the World Trad Center display. Very cool place! I wish they would let you tour the actual working factory.

Super nice people working there that clearly enjoy what they do. Today was the factory sale and prices were insane cheap! Despite the extremely long line, the employees were quite cheerful. The only bad thing I have to say is that I bought way too much stuff! The normal prices are a bit higher than knife retailers online, but you get to hand pick the knives you buy instead of getting whatever the dealer sends you. Spyderco also does this because they sell most of their knives through the dealer network and they don’t want to undercut their dealers.

I have been an avid knife enthusiast and collector for many years. Spydercos are some of my favorites. They make outstanding knives, no doubt about it. The factory outlet on the other hand was a huge disappointment. It is a complete and total rip off. Sure, they sell things cheaper than their website, but it is still more pricey than anywhere else out there. You can go on amazon and buy almost any spyderco for ½ to 2⁄3 the price of anything in their outlet. $ 75 for a spyderco resilience? Puh-leez! Save yourself the trouble and buy your spideys elsewhere. The only good things about the place are the extensive selection and free sharpening for your knives. If you are looking for something hard to find, this is a viable option. Aside from that, there is absolutely no reason to come here. Although spyderco makes amazing knives, they try to make you pay out the nose. Don’t let them bend you over a table. Stick to amazon.

You can buy knives here. They are sharp. Men like this place. I went in with a man, who liked this place a lot. I wish they had seats for the women, or a pastry shop.

I don’t know what was more fun about this place — the«kid in a candy store» look on my husband’s face the entire time we were here, or the infectious passion and great knowledge of the employees at the outlet store. It’s definitely worth the quick drive over to picturesque Golden, CO(home also to the Coors Brewing Co.) for the knife aficionado in your life. The store is easy to find and their hours are reasonable. While the prices aren’t the absolute lowest I’ve ever seen for Spyderco products, the interaction with and expertise of the employees, plus the experience, garner with ease the«20−30% less than MSRP» prices for which they sell their goods. You’ll find more than just the complete collection of Spyderco knives — the outlet also carries an authorized collection of Wusthof knives and Boos cutting blocks for good prices. We also enjoyed perusing the photos and thank-you letters from the hundreds of military servicemen and women who have been recipients of a knife drawing they do every month for 50 active military members. I loved that! I loved that one of the guys behind the counter said he was retired, but came in to work at Spyderco a «few days per week» because he was so passionate about the knives and the company. This guy was by far the most knowledgeable authority on knives I have ever encountered, everything from grades and types of steel, to exactitude on every seemingly minute detail about their products. You can purchase knives made on-site at the Golden facility, plus their other products made in both China as well as Japan. As we were visiting right before Christmas, they were offering delicious hot apple cider and tasty cookies for their customers!

This review is more for their repair center than this actual location. Been carrying Spyderco’s for years. Known for their quality of materials and keeping and edge, I consider them very trustworthy in what ever daily warrior task I use them for. Recently had to send one back for some«repair» work. it is an older model that I can’t seem to part with. For a very minor fee($ 5.00) they were able to rework the blade to «good as new» condition. Amazed at the fast turn around. Customer Service like this is what is missing in a lot of big businesses. You are a role model for your peers. Keep up the good work guys and you have earned a loyal customer !!!

A Spyderco knife makes a great companion for a everything from a multi-week backpacking trip to just an average day at work. Although I’m not really hard on my knife, I do use it often. I use my knife almost every day for opening packages, breaking down boxes, cutting rope/string, scraping surfaces, etc. You can’t beat the way that Spyderco backs their products. They will sharpen and fix your knife if you ever need them to and the people in the showroom and the factory really know their stuff. The knives here are more expensive than the flashy cheapo knives you see elsewhere, but they are a superior design that’s well worth the price.

I love Spyderco knives, so I ask you: What’s better for a knife aficionado than having one of their factories in your own backyard? Hmm… Nothing! In the knife world, Spyderco is synonymous with quality, and that quality is evident by the people that work there and the product they produce. I have a large collection of Spyderco knives and I’m sure this is in part due to having the factory outlet store within the factory. They have almost their entire line of knives in the store including ones that are made right here in Golden, Colorado. They can also get other ones special ordered. They carry an extensive collection of Randall-made knives, and if you know anything about those I don’t need to explain. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable and I’ve often GONE in and just chatted knives with them; which they’re always willing to do. The outlet shop is very large and has a lot of products throughout. It’s a bit overwhelming because there are so many knives to look at and I often want to spend all my money. Despite what other reviewers have said, I’ve never had a negative experience and will continue to visit. If you have the taste for a sharp edge and a quality product, look no further. It’s just outside Golden and well worth the stop.
