Everybody knows there’s not a lot of choices in Golden, that’s starting to change now but still, after the sun goes down its limited. I’ve eaten here for dinner and drinks on a few different Occasions, each time was in the bar. The restaurant is attached to a hotel, but it’s a small hotel, this is golden after all, and the restaurant isn’t an afterthought like it can be at other hotels. The have a southwestern centric menu as he name would suggest and some great happy hour deals on drinks and food and one late night. The bar has a decent tap list with some local craft, but the specialty here is the margaritas. The Trout and chipotle cherry steak are the standouts. A deserving staple in Golden

The nachos are a carnivores delight! We stopped by for apps and margaritas and we’re delighted with the excellent service. The San Juan margarita is handcrafted tequila with an authentic measure of lime & salt.

Table Mountain Grill and Cantina was recommended and we are so glad that we took the suggestion. Traveling through Golden, we wanted something a little different with a warm atmosphere and good food. That is exactly what we found. We enjoyed the southwestern style and the wait staff were very attentive. For an appetizer, we decided on the sauteed mushrooms with tiny crispy fried onion rings and avocado. What a great flavor mix. Our entrees, fresh rainbow trout and scottish salmon were excellent and perfectly cooked. The Mesa margarita was tasty. This place was a great way to end our enjoyable day. I think the food and atmosphere we experienced were average. We didn’t stay here, just came to eat. The fish tacos were pretty good. My husbands corn muffin roll had a hair inside it so we all stopped eating ours. That was unfortunate, otherwise it might have been good. The wait staff seemed stressed and our waiter didn’t seem to want to help us much other than the bare minimum. There are much better & more unique places to eat in Golden that we prefer. Update: I forgot to mention that we got margaritas and they were good. I got the house margarita regular size and my husband and friend each got the large blue tequila margarita. All were good! Update: The owner contacted me after my original review and left a friendly message and offered to do something to change our experience and follow up with the items I mentioned. That’s very nice.

What a great experience! My husband and I went for lunch and it was our fist visit. Valerie at the bar was any customers dream! She was joyful, professional and speedy! We got our meals and they were perfect! We will certainly be going back.

The restaurant at Table Mountain Inn is really charming – it’s like you’re dining in an old Cantina. Golden’s main street is pretty cute and quaint already so its not surprising to see it carried into the dining scene. Our group of 6 were seated in the 10 minutes they quoted. Chips and house-made salsa was delicious. Our group gobbled it up(hey a 10 hour work training day will do that to you!). We got to try the house cornbread too and that was really good as well. The menu isn’t huge but it offers a nice selection of seafood, meat and chicken with a southwestern flair. I opted for the Santa Fe Burrito, barbacoa, sweet peppers, onions, Monterrey Jack and cheddar cheese wrapped in a flour tortilla. It was really flavorful but huge. I could only finish half. There was a nice selection of drinks but a few of us opted for Coors light… just because. We were dining just a few streets away from the brewery so sure, why not? Service was really attentive and friendly. Enjoyable dinner.

Everything about this Inn made me smile. The bar was quaint and had an excellent happy hour. Margaritas were fantastic! We had dinner in the restaurant which was phenomenally good as far as the trout went. We also had the filet mignon with the mole a sauce. I’d say skip the mole a sauce. But the filet was cooked perfectly. The room was fantastic with a terrific View. I was very impressed with how clean everything was. I’m looking forward to visiting this area again and staying here. High marks and kudos to all the employees that made this such a fantastic visit.

While visiting downtown Golden, we happened upon this gem at the end of the main drag. We were a group of 7 so we had to wait a few minutes for a table, but a relatively short time with a group of our size and right at lunch time with no reservation. We ordered the chips with queso and salsa and it was great. The homemade flat bread is super tasty and the queso is fantastic; I would definitely recommend ordering this item. The cocktails were also great. My MIL ordered the Diablo margarita with muddled jalapeños and it was awesome. Don’t miss that one of you like your food a bit spicy. I ordered the Chipotle salmon salad and it was very good. The others guests ordered the Golden Burger and the beef chimmicanga, both of which I was told were great. The only complaint was the green chili Verde, which I was told was a bit bland. This was a wonderful meal, good service, clean and bright. If you are in Golden around lunch time, I would definitely recommend Table Mountain Inn.

Lots of seating, in an eclectic setting. It’s very homey, in the already quaint town of Golden. We came here on a Saturday morning and there was plenty of open seating. The waiter was great, and made us a deal on a carafe of mimosas. I ordered the turkey club and was VERY pleased. Large portions, enough for two meals!

Came here on a weeknight looking for some good Mexican food. We sat at the bar, it was pretty noisy but nothing out of the ordinary. My boyfriend and I shared the green chile soup, I could have had the whole bowl by myself as a meal, it was great! I also got the shrimp tacos, small in size but it is an appetizer. Overall good but we sat at the bar because the wait was long and I did see open tables.

Cozy atmosphere and friendly staff. Service was a little on the slow side but the food was delicious. The Flaming Asadero Cheese which is fired table side by the chef is amazing. The chipotle cherry sirloin steak was superb and the prime rib special was so thick and juicy. So glad we decided to get the chocolate taco for dessert… it was excellent! Great place to dine when in Golden!

We love this local watering hole. The food is great and the service is amazing. Lots of management involvement(they came to the table 3x). The best part is Happy Hour! My boys get nachos and the wife and I get burgers. We can happily feed the whole family for under $ 30! The atmosphere is family friendly and usually busy and bustling with locals and travelers alike. This is a «don’t miss» stop when hanging your hat in Golden!

I ate here last night for the first time and am in love! We sat in the bar to watch the Bronco game and Cody took great care of us from drinks to dessert! As a Colorado native and Golden resident I am so disappointed that I have not come in to Table Mountain Inn before… what have I been missing all these years. The food… wow! We were talked into the queso dip and from the first bite I was overwhelmed! So good. The chips were hot and fresh. The margarita was awesome. Our server chose my meal for me when I asked for a recommendation and I have to say… order the chicken with mashed potatoes and cherry-piñón demi-glacé. Heaven on a fork. My husband raved about his street tacos. We watched others order some delectably cheese appetizer that was lit on fire table side… gonna have to go back for that. We ended our meal with the Chocolate Mousse Taco and a hot fresh cup of coffee… Perfection. Chef Erich Rachel impressed us with every bite! Thank you!!!

Been here a couple of times for happy hour. They have a decent selection of happy hour drinks and finger foods. Nachos, cheese sticks, eat… Girls love the cheap happy hour margaritas here, heard they’re pretty strong. They make a good burger as well. If you can’t decide where to go to dinner and have never been, I’d make the trip to TMI. It’s right in the heart of downtown, so you can go for a nice walk after dinner and enjoy the weather.

Cool atmosphere, and friendly staff. Food is mediocre and nothing too exciting. Aztec– New Mexican styled décor and wood log beams are nice. However the odor once you step in is so strong it’s unappetizing. It’s hard to describe. Maybe like a musky bar that hasn’t been deep cleaned in a while.

*RESTAURANTREVIEW* Cute, charming Golden, Colorado has some real gems, and if you want something comforting, traditional, and oh-so-Colorado, Table Mountain Inn is the place to go for a satisfying(to wallet, palate, and tummy) meal, especially at lunch. The café is located immediately to the right of the main entrance to the Inn, where you’ll see a host stand and be seated. Expect cozy booth accommodations that are comfy and roomy. Our waitress, Abby, was with us immediately, and was immensely genuine and friendly(not to mention quick) from start to finish. We were very hungry, and ordered nachos with chicken immediately — Abby had these to our table, piping hot and fresh, less than 5 minutes later, just as we were ready to place our entrée orders! Speaking of nachos, I fancy myself a nacho connoisseur, and these were A+ — great shredded real cheese coverage, no soggy chips, a legit black bean purée, shredded well-seasoned chicken, fresh jalapenos, nice globs of guac and sour cream, and a big dish of fiery salsa in the center assured dippage for chips that weren’t blessed with cheese coverage. Oh, and less than $ 10! If you’ve read some of my other Colorado reviews(home state love, what’s up!), you’ll know I also have a thing for true Southwestern pork green chile, a true anomaly non-existent on the East Coast. When in CO, I eat some at nearly every meal. Here at Table Mountain Inn, I enjoyed a cup of their savory, hearty PGC along with 2 of their famous green chile corn muffins, which my husband slathered in their homemade honey butter. We also partook in a hand-formed bison burger, served on a delicious griddled brioche-type bun and well-seasoned and perfectly-done french fries. The service was great, the parking was free, the atmosphere was cozy, the cost was inexpensive, and the food was wonderful, rib-sticking, and flavorful!
