The Vista at Applewood

We love this place. Excellent place for our company party. Fits a lot of people. Great for night of dancing, food, and drinks. The bar is cozy and modern. The host, Tara, is very easy to work with. She has always taken extra special care of us. Denver Eye Surgeons appreciates having such a close place for its Christmas Holiday party. Great venue. You will not be disappointed. We have so much fun in this inviting site.

We are so happy that we picked this site for our wedding! My husband and I looked at several locations, and they all felt very «salesy» and cookie cutter. Beautiful, but not right. When we arrived at the Vista, Tara was more than happy to show us around (bless her heart, she was 8 months pregnant at the time!). The ceremony garden was beautiful, big open space and very green. Beautiful walk to the site. And the reception hall was also gorgeous: very modern looking. It has pretty distinct colors to it, but any wedding colors will work. The pricing was very reasonable, and no site fee which was a bonus! Tara was an excellent planner up to the day and was willing to answer all of my silly questions. She even ordered a tree for us to plant for the ceremony! Geoff was the day of coordinator who was on top of everything. We dealt with A LOT of rain on wedding day, but that makes the memories more perfect. If you are as indecisive as we were about your wedding details, the people at the Vista will give you the best input and best options to make your day spectacular.

Wedding Review
I’m not going to lie, I was disappointed with the wedding I attended here.
I’m not sure if it was poor planning or if it was the Vista.
The bar was slllooooowwwwwwwwww! I waited for over 15 minutes to get a drink. There were two people at the bar but one wasn’t old to actually make the drinks and the other bartender was slow!
On the invitation it said that dinner was supposed to be served at 7:00. At 7:00, the kitchen staff asked us to sit down. They then introduced the bride and groom. Then we waited another 45 minutes until we got our salad. We were table 12 and they served in order and one at a time with about a 5 minute wait in between tables.
The second course wasn’t served until 8:45!!! We had been sitting at that point for almost two hours.
Again, I am not sure if this was poor planning or just slow service.
By the time dancing began and everyone had been served, it was almost 10:00 and everyone was tired.
I know that part of this may have been poor planing from the bride and groom but I thought the way the food service was done was not efficient. Luckily, the food was really good!
