Toni Rigatoni’s has tons of character. It might look a little dilapidated on the outside, but inside is a wonderful house-turned-restaurant. Lots of nice decorations, very friendly feel to the place. The food is good, and you get very large portions of everything! I guarantee you will never leave here hungry. It’s definitely feasible to order salads and split an entrée between a couple. In true Italian style, everything is also pretty heavy — not greasy per se, but I can almost feel my arteries hardening by the end of a meal. Depending on the night and the group, the service can be hit or miss. As far as Italian food goes, it’s a decent restaurant for Golden. Not one I come to often, but when I do I usually enjoy it.

What Italian restaurant doesn’t serve bread at a table? We ordered Garlic cheese bread I don’t believe there was any garlic on it. Went late night 4÷17÷11 new to Golden area… The waitress was bad and the place wasn’t even crowed She pretty much ignored us. No seasoning what so ever used to cook with in their food. I order the Lasagne and I didn’t know sauce was only tomato paste. Was horrible… No flavor what so ever and all I tasted was tomato paste. My friend order some chicken pasta dish and he has been sick within the hour of coming home. He has been throwing up since since 3 am. In today’s world its a treat to be able to go out. To spend 40 bucks on horrible food is just nuts. I don’t think there is one restaurant so far in Golden that knows what good food is. We have visited three places and omg the service is horrible, food over priced and no one knows how to cook.

This was one of the worst Italian dinners my family has ever had. Our waiter warned us when we sat down that ours would be the second table he had ever waited. And it showed. He was very nice but completely inept. The two kids with us had to show him where the kids menus and crayons were(they had never been there before but the crayons and menus were in plain sight.) I could go on about how bad the food was, but it has been covered here already. Overcooked pasta, awful sauces, store-bought garlic bread, etc. The funny part was the kids pizza — one of the kids wouldn’t even eat it. She said it was worse than what they get at school. The kicker was that my hubby was sick to his stomach all night after we ate there. That’s what we get for not checking the Unilocal reviews…

Friends and I stopped by here for lunch this past Sunday after a 5 mile hike nearby. The place was empty and we got to choose our own table. Huge patio out front and on the side. They have many selections as part of the $ 7.99 lunch menu that includes a salad, garlic bread and a glass of wine or coffee. I loved the lasagna and it was well worth it. If I lived or worked near here I’d be a regular.

Drove to Golden for some shopping, hiking, etc. We were taking our last walk around the main street looking for a new offbeat place to try. I told my group I wasn’t driving all the way to Golden to eat at a chain restaurant that I can get in my own neighborhood. That’s when I spotted this cute little house made into an Italian restaurant. The waiter was very sweet & attentive, the salads were fresh & yummy.(Get the house Italian dressing, very good!) Some people ordered the Calzone Abbondanza(it was big!) And the rest of us ordered the Molti Colori(a tour of Italy), which came with a big piece of garlic/cheese bread. I was in HEAVEN! I can’t even tell you how much I loved that dish!!! The portions were so huge for each of us that we all had a take out box. The waiter was so sweet that he gave the calzone people fresh sauce to take home with their leftovers. Now I’m wishing I had THAT Tony Rigatoni’s in my own neighborhood. I’ll have to go to Golden more often. Here’s a link to their menu, almost everything is under $ 10.00.

The best that I could say is that the food is bland and unimaginative. Truly our food was terrible. Our salad came out swimming in dressing. The service was horrible. We asked for things many times and finally either did without or got our own. When we quietly complained about the food and the owner came out and told us to leave. The table next to us, after witnessing the owner’s tirade, got up, thanked us and left without ordering. The owner came back out and screamed at us that he didn’t want customers like us or the ones that left. TERRIBLE!!! Go to Woody’s, Capital Grill or McDonald’s!!!

The food is really good but the service is consistently horrible so I give it 3 stars.

Probably one of my favourite Italian places around here. We’ve had prompt service every time we’ve been to Tony’s and the food has always been great.

So we walk up and you can see into the kitchen from the front door and the first things I see a microwave and a bag of crutons from costco. CRUTONS! why the heck would you have premade crutons, toasted bread with italian seasoning, so lazy to buy that premade. So normally I wouldn’t write a review of a place I haven’t eaten at, but I live in Golden and I have never heard anyone say anything good about this place. Also I wanted to let everyone know this place is FORSALE. Woody’s is around the corner and there is an Anthony’s two blocks away.

We got a coupon in the mail(buy one entrée get one free, up to $ 10) so I figured it was a good deal and that we should try out this tiny Italian establishment in Golden. It looks like a house that’s been reverted to a restaurant(well, I’m quite sure that’s what it is). The interior is a bit rickety, but cozy. We sat on the first floor in a corner, and apparently there’s a second floor because we could hear people walking back and forth quite loudly all during dinner. The service was OK to a little slow. I ordered the ravioli with a tomato cream sauce and meatballs, and my husband got a trio with the same ravioli, spaghetti, and pasta alfredo. Out of all that we sampled, the only thing worth going back for is the ravioli with that sauce. The meatballs were huge, but a bit salty. The spaghetti and ravioli were forgettable. Additionally, the alfredo had a very unusual and unpleasant aftertaste. They forgot our bread and there was a sticker stuck on the interior of my drinking glass. We didn’t bother to ask for the bread(the food wasn’t that impressive and I didn’t think the bread was going to change our minds) and the waitress apologized and brought another glass when I asked. I wouldn’t go back. I don’t know what the upstairs is like, but if I were going there for a date I may try to get a seat there so I wouldn’t have to hear footsteps all during dinner. Also, a couple had their very young child with them, and I thought it was a little out of place and I wouldn’t say that this restaurant is appropriate for young kids.

This is the place to go for a nice dinner during the summer when you can sit outside on the patio under the pretty little white lights. Very romantic. My few experiences here were good with two being better then the third. On the third time they stuck us upstairs in some little room with noisy people. It seemed as if the waitress didn’t know we were there. Service that time took too long. I remember all the food being pretty darn good. The plain cheese pizza wasn’t my style but the boyfriend hates stuff on his pizza and he was buying. So not sure if it would have been better with stuff or if the sauce is just normally a bit bland for my taste.

Well, skip the chicken ceasar. Chicken is super dry and blah. Husband had sausage and pepper pasta and he did not even eat half. But my mother had the best shrimp scampi and i finished it all… The lasagna was good too. So it could be 4 stars, but i go for 3 stars because the waiter was sick and sniffing all the time. Also i had order the pesto chicken salad with dressing on the side, and he did not know that it was not possible, so he brought it as is. He did not know what this salad was and how it was prepared, it would be nice that waiters know what you are ordering…

Becky, are you my stalker? Every time I go to review some great eats in Golden, there you are, got there before me! I’m a big sucker for Italian food too, so Tony Rigatoni’s gets my vote for the best place to eat after watching the Sopranos season DVD in Golden. Just don’t try out your Tony accent on the waiter– chances are he or she will be Italian and offended. I love pasta. Screw you, Dr. Atkins– I also love the great bread. Oh, and salads– anywhere that gives me a HUGE salad, dressing on the side, with lots of different types of greens, has my business for life. Forget those places that serve you a little iceberg salad with the dinky croutons and some dressing from a bottle before your meal– I could just fill up on a salad easily here, if the pasta weren’t so good!

Mmmmm Tony Rigatoni’s. My mouth waters just thinking about it. Real Italian. Real Italian salad dressing. Real Italian bread. The food is so heavy, but very well-prepared and thought out. I’ve only been disappointed once, and that was because my prosciutto was dried up but they fixed that. I still haven’t actually made it inside the building, I’ve always sat on the cozy patio. Don’t get the lasagna, they make it in batches and sometimes it sits around for a week before making it to your plate. I’m just a sucker for Italian food.
