Every time I visit Goldsboro, I have to try and go here to eat. The food is so delicious and there is a good variety of meats and veggies to choose from.

The Mongolian Grill food was delicious. The won ton soup wasn’t good. It tasted like it was just soy sauce and oil. But the taste of the noodles and veggies from the grill was great. The service was friendly and attentive.

Take out is defensively a great bang for your buck option. I’ve eaten here many times but stopped in today for take out lunch. Lots of variety on the cook bar — tons of veggies and choices. The sesame bread they have is always delicious. Service is quick, the cooks are skilled and the food is always good. I’m a big fan of the taste consistency. I got a pretty sizeable take out plate for under $ 6

Wide selection of food from the buffet bar! Extremely good for the price. Love their sesame bread and donuts from the bar. Also the grill is wonderful! Always busy when I go there.

Let me state first that I do not eat anything from the buffet, so this review won’t reflect its quality. I’ve lost over 30 lbs eating the fresh veggies and meat they grill almost every day for lunch. All of the veggies are fresh, and the variety of spices and sauces you can have them cook your food with is excellent. It might take a few tries to get a good combo you like, but this place is healthy, affordable, and delicious.

I agree that this place leaves a lot to be desired. The waitress was curt and rushed us. The food options were wide but it all came out tasting the same. If you go for 2nds there are no different sauce choices like I’ve had at other Mongolian places and you get a plate of brown veggies and dry meat. Not the best option but cheap and all you can eat.

The positive reviews baffle me. Poor food, VERY poor service, and horrible atmosphere. I suggest dining somewhere else.

Everything is overly salty and the food is really bland. The presentation of the food is also a little sketch. I’d save your money and just get take out from ninja express or go to the Mongolian grill in Greenville much better overall experience.

Looking for a cheap, but filling lunch? I often hit up Empire when I am in the Goldsboro area and looking for something cheap, filling, and semi-healthy. Yes, you can pig out and be extremely unhealthy here with their noodles, rice, bread, fried goodies, etc. But you can also stick to a paleo diet by stuffing your bowl full of veggies and meat. If you are concerned with the health aspect make sure to let them know you don’t want sugar water or oil added to your food. Honestly though $ 7 for all you can eat veggies and meat… can’t really beat it!

Heather W. did a fantastic job at describing this place. There are a lot of options when it comes to protein, veggies, sauces as well as side items from the other section of the restaurant, salads, spring rolls, etc. I’d recommend giving it a try at least once.

Really good actually! So much to choose from… There is an abundance of typical Mongolian food choices, plus pizza, deserts, a salad bar, pasta… An odd, or maybe I should just say unexpected, array of foods, but one I think most customers really appreciate for the sake of both variety and value. Best of all, it’s included in the very reasonable price — very reasonable. Different prices for lunch and dinner. I believe lunch was around $ 8 — but don’t quote me on that. For those of you who haven’t yet had the pleasure of trying out a Mongolian grill(for us, they’re a rare find), it’s like a salad bar with raw veggies of all kinds, fruits(try adding pineapple!), pasta/noodles/carbs(precooked), and then a ton of raw-frozen proteins to choose from(chicken, beef, pork, scallops, shrimp, etc.), and lastly a sauce station. You start with a seemingly too small bowl(just pile it high!) and get your carbs, veggies and then proteins. You take your bowl full of these ingredients to the sauce station where a kind gentleman will pour an abundance of sauce on your dish… This is where I caution you. You MUST be both polite and respectful as you speak up about what you do and don’t want. If you don’t want super high sodium, extra greasy/fattening, spicy and overwhelming food flowing with sauces, you have to tell them. I suggest asking, «can I please only have a little bit of sugar water, tiny bit of spice, wine and no oil?» Try your own combinations, but I like low fat, low sodium(I turn into a PUFFERFISH when I eat too much salt). The amount of sodium you could end up consuming is scary if you’re not careful. Then you step aside and wait a few minutes while other cook your food I what looks like a HUGE hot round stone where men with long wooden sticks stir and rotate your food until it’s cooked. There’s also a tip jar while you wait for your plate to tip the workers for good service. Then they plate it and give it to you to enjoy. It’s a unique experience. It’s all you can eat, so don’t be afraid to go back a few times to try different things, or to redo your plate if you didn’t catch them before they over-sauced it… It happens. Eat up, enjoy and fill up. Finish with a Chinese donut(or I guess here it’s Mongolian donuts), a piece of pie, fruit and/or ice cream. You pay on your way out, but don’t forget to tip the kind ladies that filled your drinks and cleared your plates. I recommend it! Fast, easy, fun, filling and affordable!

You can’t beat this place for lunch! So many choices on the buffet. It’s one of the best Mongolian places in eastern NC for sure. They give you so much food!

Empire Fire is as good as Mongolian grills get! The flavor is there, the atmosphere is excellent, and they have an extra«Americanized» buffet for on-the-side gap fillers. Highly recommended!

Stopped here twice on my way to and from the beach. Superb! I found it on Unilocal and considered it but only ended up here after I took a wrong exit. I was pleasantly surprised. They have an entire mongolian buffet, an entire dessert buffet, and an entire salad buffet. It’s amazing! The food is cooked right in front of you and the ingredients appeared fresh. Everybody was nice. We spent like $ 13 for both of us for lunch and just a few dollars more when our second visit was later in the afternoon(I guess they start dinner early?). Definitely recommend!

Excellent food! Choose your own ingredients and they cook it for you on the grill. Quick, good quality. Fantastic wait staff. Your drink won’t get empty and plates won’t sit on the table. You are almost guaranteed a good experience every time you are here. Highly recommend!

Good lunch option and value. The food quality and handling is quite good, but the flavors are typical stir-fry fare. Great feed bag location, not so great for a special night out. I recommend it for a big lunch. Warning: No Diet Coke! That cost them a star…

Amazing all you can eat Mongolian BBQ… maybe not the best quality there can be in terms of the buffet but we are in Goldsboro here folks not Las Vegas. And for how cheap the lunch is… a mere $ 7 I believe. you can’t expect too much. Would go here frequently… nice selection of meats. It is a little more expensive for dinner but the buffet adds in lamb and another meat selection to make up for it.

I love Mongolian style food — some pasta with all of the meat and vegetables you want. This place is great because the chefs will actually do the sauce mixture for you, you just have to tell them how spicy you want it. There is also hand sanitizer — thumbs up. There is also a buffet, if you want anything else. Service is fast and reliable. The décor is nothing exciting — booths and tables. Although this isn’t a fine-dining establishment by any means, it is a nice option when you’re out running errands and want something quick to eat, but better than fast food.

The Grill Typical«create your own stir-fry» using a variety of meats, poultry, seafood, vegetables, sauces, and spices. It was pretty tasty(a little greasy/oily) — and was prepared quite quickly as they have more than one person manning the grill. The Buffet The buffet featuring egg rolls, ice cream, pudding, salad, cream puffs, mini hot corn dogs, fruit(of the canned variety), fried chicken wings, steak fries, and other fried fare ~ not so much to my liking… I’d stick to the grill. The Money Lunch was cheap; $ 7 for all you can eat. The Space I was here for a large luncheon and the dining space didn’t easily accommodate the 12+ people we had in our party, so I’d say not the best place for groups larger than 10.
