Ken Ota is a Santa Barbara institution and one of the treasures of the Santa Barbara area. For over 50 years he has touched so many of the local Santa Barbara people, young and old, with his adults and especially Kid’s Aikido, and with his Cotillion Dance Club. While Ken and his wife Miye are over 90 now and not actively teaching, his students carry on his innovative tradition of «hi-tech training using rhythym and timing»(see photos). If you are interested in Aikido and wish to experience the essence of this art in the most fun, practical manner possible, for either yourself or especially as a gift to your children after school, check them out. You will be very happy you did. :-) You can see more about Ota Sensei’s methods at this web site: Included there are many photos and videos of what training at this Aikido school is like. Enjoy and let us all know of your experience with this school.
