If Colleen were to be cloned 3 – 4 times, and they could stock a few more quality products and items, this paint store would be among the best. BUT… when employees are clueless about their products, and don’t know enough to ask Colleen, you might as well head to Home Depot where most employees know little about anything. I started coming here for certain painting projects several years ago. It was the excellent advice and service I got from Colleen, as well as her can-do attitude in remedying things they occasionally got wrong, that have kept me coming back… Lately their color matching skills have been extremely lacking… As in, TOTALLYWRONG not even in the ballpark. Steve could learn a thing or two from his wife when it comes to costumer service too. Seems foolish to become defensive about a color that is totally wrong, when he has yet to see that color(and how obviously and laughably wrong it is). Anyway, Im tired of dealing with this place, so I will resign to losing the money I spent here and just buy new paint elsewhere. For quality paint and excellent service head to Dunn Edwards. In a pinch, I even had Sherwin Williams match a couple of colors perfectly and on very short notice. By the way, if Colleen were to run every aspect of this business all the time, I’d give this place 5 stars. Since most of the time this last year they have been WAY sub par I have to give the business 2 stars(two for Colleen since she is basically carrying this business on all fronts)

I have found Goleta Valley Paint owners, Steve & Colleen Ozab extremely helpful in every way. If any of the employees make a mistake, Steve or Colleen are more than happy to make it up to their customers. Steve has come out on numerous occasions to inspect problem areas requiring paint, and making the appropriate recommendations with no additional charge. This store has been in business over 30 years because of the great customer service they consistently provide.

This place is going downhill. I’m not sure what’s going on with them lately. First, get rid of the employee, Henry, who screws up our order 100% of the time(5 for 5). Second, unless you get the owners(Colleen is wonderful) then count on them giving bad advice. I’m done with this place as I can’t afford their screw ups anymore!
