Love the BBQ chicken and chicken katsu, you can get a plate with both plus rice and mac salad. Fast service and nice cashiers, they always help when I don’t know what to get. They used to do a minimun charge if you paid with a credit card but have recently stopped, good news for those of us that never carry cash.

There’s a huge sign outside that says to try a 50⁄50 combo plate with choices of chicken, beef or pork. Decided to try their katsu chicken and kalua pork so I go inside to order but they refuse to give me a combo with pork, saying they don’t allow that. Wtf? The sign outside says differently. They said they didn’t know why the sign said that. Poor service. Wouldn’t recommend.

I love L&L. This place is great. The cashier are always nice and polite. The food is awesome and maybe it varies from place to place because the one in Oxnard doesn’t have the healthy plates like this place. This place is awesome

Decent quality food and taste. The poor rating is for their horrible service. You can tell the employees do not care about customer satisfaction. Will not be going here anymore.

Aloha! Decided to come here after not finding the Natural café in goleta, I was very pleased with this alternative. I got the BBQ mix plate which was beyond bomb diggidy, not to mention they give you so much food that they know you’re going to need a to-go box. I would recommend this place any day.

I live in Ventura and make the drive all the way to Goleta just for the food. Friendly staff and great food.

The best BBQ in Santa Barbara! I really love their salad in the bento and Hawaiian bbq chicken tastes delicious!

Like all L&L’s, this one delivers on taste and quantity. Bbq chicken, beef, rice, and a small salad are hard to beat, especially if you’re hungry. Get the teriyaki sauce too.

I love Hawaiian BBQ even though I know that it makes me feel a bit sick afterwards because of the large amount of meat and fat. L&L Hawaiian BBQ give out large portions, each rice plate comes with a large amount of meat, 2 scoops of rice, and 1 scoop of macaroni salad. I love macaroni salad and their macaroni salad are never disappointing! You can also order a side of mac and cheese, etc. if you like. I usually just stick with the BBQ mix plate because it is more than enough food for 1 meal. I also get to eat a bunch of different meat versus just chicken, etc. None of my meat were fatty and they tasted flavorful. They also have seafood options if you are not a red meat eater. There are a lot of seatings inside and outside of the store. They also have a TV that is always playing sports, mostly college football the few times that I came in. The staff are very nice and even though I order take-out, they walk it to me instead of calling me up to the counter. I also never have to wait longer than 10 minutes to get my order. Overall, if I am ever craving Hawaiian BBQ in SB, this will be my stop. The only thing that is disappointing is that they have been slowly raising their price. It’s now $ 10 without tax for the BBQ mix plate, but for the large amount of meat and macaroni salad, I am still willing to pay for it.

Terrrrrrrible!!! I had shrimp and fries and it was crap.(How do you screw that up?) My husband ordered some steak of some sort and it was one gigantic piece of fat and gristle. I mean one huge pile of meat connected by all this fatty tissue. He picked one end up with his fork and the whole thing hung there. He couldnt even cut through it bc it was all fat. I was practically gagging watching him and he eventually gave up searching for meat. Do notttt bother here.

Short rib plate is my favorite. Good amount of food for the price. Nice option if you’re looking for some quick food and don’t feel like the typical drive through options. Also, staff are always pleasant which is nice.

One of the best choices around for fast food. The food is tasty and plentiful with a good variety on the menu. It’s the only place I can go to when I’m craving kimchi. The food isn’t what you’ll find at a full service sit down restaurant, but when you’re wanting something different and don’t have all day this is perfect. Instead of greasy fries in your combo you’re going to get heaping spoonfuls of rice or macaroni salad. It can get crowded with college kids from nearby UCSB on weekends.

I really like this place, they make their food well and the dining space is pretty big. I like ordering my usual chicken Katsu n sitting outdoors. My bf orders something different so we can share… The portions are huge so be prepared for leftovers when ordering separate plates. If dining in, just share a coke, lol. Totally Refillable!

Yummy chicken katsu, macaroni salad, and sauces! Recommend the chicken katsu or chicken teriyaki masubi too! Tables can get a bit sticky at times, but food is delicious so I don’t mind.

I went here yesterday for the first time and got the Chicken Katsu. It was delicious and I think the portions are huge. Service was nice and quick. Definitely coming back again.

I went here the other day for lunch for the first time. Hawaiian food is not something I am familiar with so wasn’t sure what to order. I up with a seafood combo which had a couple of shrimp, a piece of mahi mahi, chicken katsu, rice and macaroni salad. It was a TON of food and reasonably priced! The shrimp were huge, breaded and deep fried golden brown. The chicken was also breaded and fried golden brown and it came with the katsu dipping sauce which was pretty good. The fish was just alright. It was battered, which I like, but it was just bland. There was way too much rice. If I had known I could order the ‘mini’ version with one scoop of rice, I would have. There was also a scoop of mac salad. Interesting combo but it was okay. I would be interested in trying other menu options.

Came here to meet a friend with my husband. One plus is the parking lot. It’s big and it’s easy to find parking. We were originally going to meet somewhere else but parking there was impossible. I have eaten here a while back when I went to school in ucsb but it has never been a true favorite. The portion sizes are big and you get enough for 2 meals but there is a lot of rice. Today I had the musubi sampler and boy it was a lot of rice. Decent enough and tasty, but not my favorite. The food left me feeling a bit too heavy and greasy. The cashier was friendly though which is a plus.

Not the best LnL I’ve ever had but certainly not the worst. It is a bit pricier than what I’m used to and the portions are smaller but it still tastes like LnL. Their chicken katsu is either a hit or miss but their Kalula Pork is always good. And you can’t go wrong with a spam musubi! If you’re more of a macaroni salad type of person, ask for two scoops of the mac and only 1 scoop of rice. Don’t forget to ask for more katsu sauce! You’ll definitely need it.

Prepared myself for a huge lunch. I am not worthy but L&L is. You’ve read about the huge portions of meats, some with bits-o-fat hanging off them them and piles of carbs. Don’t sweat the petty thing because you’re in luck my friends. According to the USDA Dietary Reference Intake report, we are allowed 130g per day and the BBQ Mix only has 107g. Whoo hooo! Room to grow which is good because the FDA describes the primary role of carbohydrates in the body to provide energy. You will need the extra energy to digest and keep you from a food coma. At 1280 calories, this should be your only meal of the day and I’m OK with that. The meat was good and the mix of chicken, beef and pork added to the texture delight. Pile on the rice and macaroni and you’re ready for a workout. Your heart sure will dealing with 2290mg of sodium cumming just under the RDA of 2300. Someone’s doing their math. Large and airy dining room with a big flat screen and seating outside. The service seemed way to slow for what I assume is mostly prepared foods and I am very disappointed at all the waste. Dining in or taking off, everyone gets Styrofoam like To-Go boxes and plastic cutlery. I’m sure it’s easier to take out the trash than to wash dishes but it all goes to landfills. Not good. While I would never subject my body to L&L every day, not even weekly, it’s good, fun food where the carbohydrates won’t kill you but the sodium sure could. Give it a try. No one lives forever.
