I went once a year ago on national donut day for a Thai tea, and they were totally out. Went again today and I wish they were out. $ 5 for a Thai tea that tasted NOTHING like Thai tea and had overly chewy boba. The donuts were not fresh and overly priced. The older woman who serves there is not very friendly and the menu that used to be there is no longer up, making us guess at their drink prices. Go to the spud nuts and bagels just down the street on state. Great service, great prices, great products, great boba!

Uh the girl who made me my simple sandwich was high out of her mind. She forgot what a condiment was and put on jalapeños instead of pickles???

I’m not going to sit here and give any doughnut shop under four stars unless they A. Poison me, or B. Are closed. Spud nuts is an SB institution and for good reason. The Goleta location is tucked away in old town, offering 24 hour service to those in need. I had an apple fritter tonight and it was predictably delicious. I also shared a chocolate bar with my peeps and it was pretty good. I’m not entirely crazy, so I realize that Krispy Kreme puts these to shame, but last I checked, Krispy Kreme doesn’t live in Goleta. Or Santa Barbara. So let’s not even talk about it. Plus, the service at this location is always so friendly. I’m proud to have my 100th review be Spudnuts.

Best donut shop around. Easy to find in Old Town Goleta, fast and friendly service, and great selection. The apple fritters and cronuts are so tasty!

Wow! I went nutz for those Cronuts! Best donut ever. The cronut, which is a cross between a donut and croissant, is the best thing they have and the best thing going! I could have kept eating them, and wish we had a shop where I live. They’re expensive, no doubt about that, but worth it as a guilty pleasure! The friend I was with lived around there before and introduced me to the place. It’s one of the few Spudnuts shops left. I had never heard of them before, I don’t think, but the first one he went to was back in 1946! If you haven’t had a Spludnuts cronut, TRYONE! You will. not. be. sorry.

I went to spudnuts to get breakfast for me and my girlfriend. I told the lady to not put onions in my sandwich. When I opened the bag the sandwich was not wrapped, it was burned and the worst part was that it had a lot of onions. The cashier goes by the name Rocio. I have been a regular here and I am a local, the doughnuts are amazing but I will not be stopping by for sandwiches. Best times to go are at 5am, or 8am on the weekends.

I’m going to begin by saying that I go by the 3 strikes rule. If you can’t get your act together within 3 tries, that’s it, done, you’re out. That is exactly how many chances I gave this place. Each time I went in, the attitude was just not pleasant. Horrible customer service in terms of greeting customers in a way that makes them feel like their business is appreciated. It almost seemed like if serving the customers is a joke & you get what you get, regardless of if it’s quality or not. Not a good way to get customers. They were rude, uncaring, just plain nasty. The last visit there recently I was attended by a woman there, she came out of the back like having business was a major disruption or interruption to her day. Once I saw where this was going I just said«Uh, that’s alright, if you’re too busy I can come back another time» in a very friendly way. She immediately started to get kind of surly & asked what my problem was. I told her that the attitude she was showing was just not very welcoming. I just bought a drink & left, swearing to NEVER return to this establishment ever again, as long as it’s run by the current staff. The doughnuts, well, to put it mildly, they’re not that great & when you add the horrible attitude & service, just ain’t worth it, there’s better places to go to that appreciate the business & treat customers respectfully. In all, my mind is made up, this Spudnuts will NEVER be supported by me. I’d rather go to the Spudnuts in Isla Vista where I live. They say a little customer service goes a long way & when it lacks so does the quality of the product(s) being sold. Never going back to Spudnuts in Goleta, it’s just not worth it.

I stop by a least 4 — 5 times a week to pick up 3 dozens and every time, and I’ve received an outstanding service! Come by, pick up a doughnut or a dozen, or better yet 3 dozens. I guarantee you’ll love them too.

Came into Spudnuts on a whim and hit the sweet spot for donuts! Everything made in premise. Eating the donuts took us to the moon! Wait staff were patient and kind. Family owned business is the way to go these days. You would have to be an absolute fool to choose a chain like Dunkin donuts over this place. Hands down one of the best. Now about those bagels, NYC is the home to real bagels but these bagels were just as good. Add an egg cheese and bacon and you are good to go. Only problem we encountered was that my 16 yr old needed two! All in all we are very glad we crossed this path on our visit to Cali from Florida.

The chocolate bar donuts BARELY have any filling what so ever. Complete disappointment thinking you would bite into something special, until you find out its just a oversized donut with a drop of filling. The egg sandwiches aren’t even made fresh I watched them microwave the eggs and bacon. Like how could you even sell that?! Then you put mayonnaise on it?! Disgusting!

Solid spot but be weary about donut availability on weekdays. I suspect some donut fiend comes by in the morning and takes everything that is good. Maybe not however because they probably just move the good stuff to Isla Vista. I rarely see this location heavily trafficked. Sandwiches are good, if you find yourself at the Merc this is one of the few options that are open late at night. I love spudnuts.

Great place to grab a doughnut – better than Anna’s in my opinion, and better priced. Everything, especially their croissants, are huge! They have a large variety of items to eat and drink and are open late if you feel like a late night snack. They never seem to run out of anything!

Nice coffee shop, been going here since it opened in 2012, the staff are friendly, they have around 4 coffee flavors, plenty of donut varieties, they make them in-house everyday,

The donuts are inconsistent at times and some are better than others. Though a two star rating seems low, Spudnuts is still the best donut shop in Goleta. Oh wait, are there any others though? No, but donuts at Ana’s Bakery are not chewy or tasty. A Spudnuts donut has that slightly crisp exterior and a sweet glaze. The softness and doughiness fluctuates. Overall, Spudnuts is fairly standard for a donut. Some other items here are outright not good. The cinnamon roll lacks cinnamon sauce, glaze, and a chewy texture. Better to avoid this one in particular here. The coffee is also terrible and yes, service is not friendly. The cold sandwiches here are fine if you want one with croissant as the bread, but better options are down the road.

Two Words: Dud Nuts I have been to all the Spudnut Locations in Santa Barbara/Goleta. This one is a definite dud. I know what fresh donuts taste like and they are definitely not fresh. I have a better bet at Albertsons — and that’s saying somethin’!

Don’t go here if you like 1. Great donuts 2. Clean bakery 3. Remotely acceptable customer service. I gave them 3 tries and cannot put myself thru the misery again.

This spudnut location could very easily be a 5 star rating for me. But due to the lack of customer service they will temporarily be a 3. I was refused boba because the younger Hispanic worker«didn’t think they had anymore boba» this has happened twice. So before going in now, I have to call Ahead to see if they have boba. They have a fantastic baker & donuts: glazed«doughssant» or «blueberry cake» donuts Are some unusual favorites!

we stayed at the Hampton and walked over around 4−5pm so im guessing nothing is fresh. I ordered a glazed doughsant and it was really good and better then one I had at another place. didn’t get to try any regular donuts because they where out of the ones I wanted that late in the day.

I have been here twice. The first time I bought a bagel breakfast sandwich and my friend got a donut. We both were so disappointed. Not only was the food BAD, the service was worse. Just now, we wanted to get boba bc this was the only place open. We walked in and tried to start a conversation with the worker and she treated us with an awful and disturbing attitude. We ended up only buying one fruit smoothie that she made with POWDERANDICE. It was gross. Do not go here.
