I just received a box of chocolate for valentines day and was not expecting it to be this delicious. Usually in a mixed box there are candies that I don’t particularly like, but I have been enjoying this box for a bit now and every piece is wonderful. I also love that it’s a local spot. So happy! Much chocolate!

Just had the Texas crunch chocolate and my hubby and I loved it. I have to say this is my fav chocolate store in goleta and were way sb local this is where we go. They do awesome chocolate sculptures which are great as gifts. Great quality chocolate. They make they’re chocolate on site and one of the young guy that makes it was so sweet and helpful explained every chocolate I asked about. He have us great service!

The chocolate seemed low-quality and the flavors/choices were not special — boring selection. It was about what you might expect to find at any average mall chocolate store(like See’s). The only thing this place had going for it though, was that they had a ton of fun chocolate shaped items. I guess If I really wanted chocolate shaped in to a computer or to spell my name out in chocolate letters — I would come here. But if I wanted high-quality chocolate with unique flavors, I would go elsewhere!

For those who don’t know, the Chocolate Gallery is a Goleta institution. The chocolate high quality and remains unpretentious. My family has been coming here since 1992. Even after moving away from the Central Coast, I still make time to stop by when ever I’m visiting. A box of truffles are a standard at all holiday occasions. They cast their product in everything from simple meltaways and letters to chocolate cars and lips. Worth a stop if you haven’t been there.

The quality of the chocolates are not spectacular. Can’t be compared to Godvia’s though some are probably as good as See’s. I’ll be sticking with See’s for the nuts and chews. I would get the peanut butter melts again though. This place is best for novelty chocolates you cannot find at other specialty chocolate shops like… solid chocolate in shapes of a letter, chocolate roses, etc.

Awesome, awesome, awesome. This is the easiest place to shop for my wife’s birthday and for Valentine’s Day. I just grab truffles, of the Texas crunch and I’m all set. This is by far the best chocolate around.

Five stars for the selection of novelty chocolates – golf clubs, cruise ships, ladybugs, shoes, thank you plaques, which are nicely presented, and wrapped for free, including a gift card; and also for the friendly counter staff. Two stars for the chocolate itself – marginally better than a Hershey Bar, unfortunately. Steer clear of the plain chocolate, and get something with other flavors for better taste. The honeycomb was pretty good, as were the dark chocolate raisins. The«Texas Crunch»(almond and toffee bits) was not as good because the little crunchies did not stand up to the mediocre-tasting chocolate. I didn’t want to give this place a «meh» review. Were the chocolate outstanding, I’d be willing to forgive long lines, bad service, etc. – none of which I experienced here. I just wish the chocolate itself were better.

I discovered The Chocolate Gallery while attending UCSB back in 2003. I have been a loyal customer and to this day, when I visit SB, I make it a point to stop by the store. Everything is good, but my favorite item is the chocolate coins which I microwave, melt and make chocolate covered strawberries. They are always a hit, easy to make, and my staple dish to bring to parties or when I host. I order from them occassionally and have never had a shipping problem or quality problem.

Everything here is really good. AND they make everything on-site. Only place in town that does so.

The Chocolate Gallery is known for their novelty chocolates, but don’t miss out on their scrumptious chews, decadent meltaways, and absolutely enormous truffles!
