This is my first apartment and possibly my last, because I want to live here forever. Maintenance at your door in a flash, awesome payment system (electronic auto-pay, not all apartments allow that), and Jane the landlord is so sweet. The apartments are spacious and nice. Jane is super accessible and willing to help you out. When I was first looking for an apartment she actually gave me a personal tour of all the available spaces. Worst part was having to pick! Looking forward to the Hive BBQ woo!

I absolutely love living here! It’s super convenient, safe, right in the center of Isla Vista, and has an incredible ocean view! Not to mention the beautiful design of the apartment. I’ve only had great experiences here and am for sure renewing my lease for another incredible year.

My daughter moved into The Hive in July and this is her first apartment on her own. The Manager was so helpful when we came in to move her in and I felt great that there is someone there to help her if she needs anything. The leasing process was easy and the maintenance man came over on move in day to fix a burner on the stove. So far I am very happy that we picked The Hive!

The Hive is a total rip off that preys on college students. My daughter rented a studio that had a broken two burner cooktop supplied and a refrigerator… she was unable to cook meals for the entire year she lived there. The «Hive» took over ownership/management midway through her lease. Upon moving out, she was charged for painting and «Materials» — the place wasn’t painted when she initially moved in, so she should not have been responsible for paying for painting upon move out. They were extremely unreasonable and unfair to deal with and never returned phone calls. They are crooks.

The Hive is, by far, the most spectacular leasing company that I’ve encountered thus far in IV. They take care of your needs quickly and efficiently, while remaining fair and respectful of your temporary home. Did your landlord put on a free BBQ just to get to know you? Didn’t think so! The Hive is where it’s at.
