Cracker Barrel is great! There food is always hot and fresh and customer service is great in both the store and restaurant! They have great juicy burgers and I LOVE their corn bread and bisucts! My mouth is watering just writing this review! Haha! I myself don’t care for their has brown casserole but that’s really my only complaint. Great food and great store. OH and I MUST mention the old fashioned things they sell in their store… How can one not enjoy that?!

So, I completely get that this isn’t the type of restaurant where one should not expect much. But it’s breakfast. You’re serving a variation of like 5 different things on each plate. It shouldn’t take an hour, and the items should be cooked to perfection. This location of this chain has bottom notch service and mediocre food. The waitresses are yelling to/at each other on the service floor the entire time. The woman who seated us threw the menus and silverware on the table haphazardly, without even saying she was seating us, and walked away. No water refill was ever offered. My eggs were not as ordered. The 3 pieces of bacon were all cooked differently– burnt, ok, and soggy. This has been a stop for my grandmother and whomever travels with her for months as she’s traveled back and forth on I-10. I think today the decision was finalized that the breakfast stop from now on will be a Waffle House.

This is your typical Cracker Barrel. I love you and I despise you. Despite your checkered history with racism, and most recent history with discrimination against sexual orientation, your consistency with your food and your stores, it is fairly safe to state that if one is new to the area, they can be greeted with the same standards. Restaurant and store are neat and clean, as are the restrooms. The service is pleasant, the game at the table is always cool, and the portions of food are HUGE. It is a rare occasion, in my opinion, to see so much food left on so many plates as people are done. This is not exclusive to this location, but I have seen this phenomenon at all of the CB’s that I have been to. I just don’t see how this is beneficial to anyone, and the waste probably ends up in the garbage due to sanitation standards, just wish that maybe the brand could reconsider their possibilities. CB’s are my favorite places on road trips to stop to eat, stretch my legs and use the restroom on my way. They are usually very accessible to the freeway and have nice parking lots. The store is a great place to shop for any last minute gifts, as they usually have some local souvenirs in addition to their usual wares for sale.

I love Cracker Barrel! I enjoy their breakfast food, as well as their chicken tenders, hamburger steak, chicken friend steak, chicken and dumplings, chicken and rice and sides. This particular visit I got the sampler plate and was not particularly impressed with it. It came with dumplings, meatloaf, ham and sides. The meatloaf is strange tasting. The dumplings were missing any chicken. The ham was awesome! And of course the sides were good as always. I think next time I go I will stick to my usual choices :)

This place is awesome. Great food. Excellent Service and staff and delicious Cajun food. This time I had the southern trout with broccoli and brown rice pilaf it’s great to see some healthier choices in America. 9⁄10

Typical cracker barrel standards are met. Service is your standard cracker barrel along with the food you would expect. I love breakfast and come here often. My favorite are the blueberry pancakes for breakfast, and chicken and dumplins for dinner. It can get real crowded here on weekend mornings.

Always happy to eat here, wish they had a location in New Orleans. The employees are always friendly, never had a negative experience. The food did take a bit longer than usual, but it was still good. I had the double meat breakfast. Three eggs over medium, two sausage patties, three strips of bacon, grits, two biscuits, and country gravy. A great tasting breakfast! The sausage patties were a bit spicy, but I’m ok with that. My wife had the fresh start breakfast. Scrambled eggs, 3 strips of turkey bacon, yogurt topped with granola, and a wild Maine blueberry muffin. The way they scramble their eggs is not what she likes, but the rest of the breakfast was good. It’s a good breakfast for those on a diet. Our server Brennan was extremely attentive and friendly, kinda had a country accent. The country store is cool, some of the souvenirs are pricey but a lot of good things to purchase. We will stop here on road trips usually.

No matter what you order it’s always a great taste when you come over here! **Wonderful service and friendly staff** Chicken is cooked perfectly, biscuits are light and fluffy! Ask for the strawberry jam! :)

Fried okra and dumplings are my favorite. Just needs more seasoning on the dumplings. Bread/cornbread is always good.

I’ve written a number of reviews on the CB brand restaurants, today’s visit seemed to start out about the same as most I’ve visited over the years. I’m not a big fan of the country store I’m forced to walk through to grab a bite to eat but nothing’s going to change that, so speaking of this in more detail is a moot point? The restaurant was clean and fully staffed with no waiting to get a table. Our server was friendly enough she provided good service so it seemed everything was working as designed. The issue today seemed to generate from the kitchen after waiting longer than normal to get two simple breakfast plates our server informed us that our order had been ready for sometime but there were no biscuits and she want to know if we would like our food now or wait 7– 10 more minutes for the biscuits to finish cooking, although one of the orders required a biscuit. We decided to have the food brought out sooner that the biscuits once we completed our meals the biscuits arrived with the check as you can imagine this made no sense. The three star rating isn’t related to the fact that they ran out of biscuits its the waste I see at all their restaurants, they provide everyone with so much food a lot of the food goes uneaten and is wasted. While exiting the dining area I noticed more than a dozen uneaten biscuits sitting on tables waiting to be bused along with a lot of items that were barely touched. I think the menu should offered more options with less items it just seems that most breakfast selections come with 4 or 5 courses.

Conviniently located of I10E its an awesome place for travelers! I worked there for a short stint in the late 90’s and experienced first hand what this restaurant has to offer! The food is excellent! My fave by far is the meatloaf and the chicken fried chicken. The grilled chicken is a must have! Desserts are awesome don’t leave without trying the chocolate cobbler you wont be sorry!

Another wonderful meal at Carcker Barrel this time featuring the delish southern favorite, chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes and greens. Everything was fresh, hot and good. When on the road you can’t go wrong with Cracker Barrel.

Alright so I ordered the chicken and dumplings and I had a hard time eating it because the dumplings tasted like and had the consistency of butter. At times I thought I might have large lumps of soft butter in my mouth. For the record, I love butter, but not in that medium. This review is mainly for the biscuits… WOW. Let me just say WOW. I don’t eat a whole lot of biscuits but these were AMAZING buttery doughy yummy things. I suggest going there, ordering a side salad, and downing as many of these things as you can bear while you wait.

This is where a work team I was on had dinner the first evening that we were together. Cracker Barrel has a down home country feel starting with the sheer volume of merchandise when you walk in. I bought a cute stuffed penguin as a coming home present for Gayle(in 2 weeks time). Service was slow all around, including being seated, having our order taken and food served, and even getting the bill. We noticed this pattern in other area chain restaurants and wonder whether there’s a labor shortage for this kind of work. The food on the other hand was well prepared, tasty, as plentiful as you wanted it to be, and relatively inexpensive. The bill reflects that, plus the fact that there’s no alcohol served here. I opted for lemonade which complemented my fish and vegetables meal just fine.

Cracker Barrel is a chain I frequent on my cross-country road trips. No trip is complete without a stop here. Overall, we all know what to expect from them and this one did well. I got what I ordered and quite frankly it was as delicious and aptly filling as expected. That aside, the service was snail-like in speed. They’re staffed by a bunch of tweeny looking braces-clad middle schoolers or something. And the patronage in general is abound with loud locals and rude young’ins. Check out the outlets but pass this location for another less-touristy one.

Good ol’ chain restaurant-style comfort food. It’s exactly what you would expect. But somehow, it works… it certainly hits the spot if that’s what you are craving. I had a fried catfish plate with dumplings and cole slaw. The catfish was so crispy and not greasy at all. I think it had a cornmeal crust, which was really nice. The dumplings were gluey and starchy… cole slaw was obviously not homemade. The biscuits were warm and flaky. The blackberry cobbler was good except they put the ice cream on top of the warm cobbler so it is completely melted into a soup by the time you get it. I like ice cream and cobbler together. but the ice cream should be served in a little dish on the side, so that the customer can add it to their cobbler as they see fit. Will ask for it separate next time. The coca cola cake was very good as well. Topped it all off with a frosty mug of fresh squeezed lemonade. Cracker Barrel meals are by no means gourmet fare, but they have their place.

Oh Cracker Barrel, You are so comforting. Its like eating at grandmas house. Don’t plan on doing any physical activity for 2 – 3 hours after your meal because movement and breathing may be limited. Pancakes are the best I’ve ever had and I love the ‘real’ maple syrup. Hashbrown casserole is warm cheesy goodness. Chicken sandwich served on a sourdough bun with sharp Colby cheese and sweet pickles. Mmm Mmm good Ask for apple butter with your complimentary biscuits and they sell it out front just in case you need a quart of it before you leave. I love shopping in the store too. Head to the back corner where the sale items are hidden. ;)

I am not a fan of Cracker Barrel, but apparently a lot of other people are so I frequently get tied into lunch meetings and other occasions to visit the restaurant. The home-style, «out on the range,» country cooking is just a little too bland for me. Everything is served with a tasteless brown gravy, plain biscuits, and some random assortment of blah veggies… or it least that’s what it seems like to me. I never seem to find anything overly appetizing and always seem to leave underwhelmed. On a positive note, Cracker Barrel is the only place I know of that sells«Pure Maple Sugar Candy,» which is a delicious, melt in your mouth, maple sugar product from Maine. It is the reason I tacked on an extra star for the rating and the one thing I look forward to when someone I’m with suggests eating at Cracker Barrel. To be fair… I know A LOT of people that love Cracker Barrel, so don’t judge based on my personal opinion and review. BOTTOMLINE: Not my kind of place… but they do have some unusual and cool stuff in the front of store mercantile.

Ok, so heading out of Baton Rouge, we stopped into another Cracker Barrel– this time for lunch. I ordered the half pound cheeseburger, which came with a side of cole slaw. Here’s the best part: I ordered it cooked medium and it was actually cooked medium. Usually at places like this, you’ll get your burger cooked medium well, but they actually nailed it. This CB is exactly like the other one with the little store attached.
