Louisiana Regional Airport

We flew into this airport over the weekend. We were drawn by the very low price of fuel. We knew it was self-​serve, but had no idea it was this bad! The person working the desk assured us earlier in the day, TWICE that they were open until 5. Their sign posted 5PM. We arrived at 4:30 and it was a ghost town! There were no cabs in the town, and there is no rental car service like many other small community airports have. The Enterprise in the town came and picked us up… BUT they didn’t have the inexpensive car we reserved online… They only had larger full size cars or trucks. ALL were more expensive and they refused to give them to us at our price reserved! When we tried to fill our plane with fuel to leave, the person in front of us had problems with the credit card reader. The man working there took his sweet time to help! We ended up leaving almost 1.5 hours later than planned. Overall, the man working there is rude, non-​hlepful, and in all reality, LIES. He promises he’ll be there, but isn’t. DON’T be fooled by the low fuel prices! Fly into Hammond or somewhere else… it isn’t worth the fuel…
