This was the worst Marriott I have visited. The staff couldn’t be bothered to help us when we arrived. The front desk clerk was sitting in front of the television in the lobby when we arrived drinking a beverage and texting on her phone. We should have turned around and walked out, but since I had already paid for my reservation in advance, we stayed at this hotel. The beds were comfortable and the room was quiet. The next morning upon waking we went to have breakfast and had a difficult time finding a clean table. Upon returning to our room I decided to get on my laptop to view my email. I had a message from my email company that someone in the Gonzales area had tried to hack into my email account. I didn’t give my email address to anyone except the hotel. I have stayed in many, many hotels and have NEVER had this happen before. When we left this location I immediately contacted the management company for this hotel by phone. I followed up with a letter to the management staff to let them know my displeasure. I was never contacted again by anyone from this hotel or management staff to apologize for this terrible inconvenience. I am was worried for quite some time that my personal information would be used for no good. I would never consider staying at this location again.

We were excited to be able to find this place on the last leg of our road trip. We usually like to stay a little bit away from New Orleans so that it is not too hectic and crazy or crowded and we were able to find this SpringHill Suites in Baton Rouge. We were looking forward to it and hoping it’s a safer area for our family. Never entirely sure since it was out away from everything and we have never stayed in this particular area before. We were leaving New Orleans at night late and there was a wreck causing lots of traffic so we were getting there vert late but they held our room and got us a pretty good room. There’s no complaints whatsoever. It’s a very nice new SpringHill Suites like the newer ones we hit. Same exact replica so they are all blurting together :) but it was very comfortable. Everything was made and ready for us when we got there. Breakfast was ample and fresh just like we expected. We were very pleasantly surprised with every single Marriott hotel that we stayed on this particular road trip using our points. We like the newer furniture and bathroom furnishings which were all modernizes. Beds were comfortable. It was a very comfortable one night overnight stay before we headed back to Texas and hitting another Springhill Suites in Dallas ;) So really looking forward to another road trip where we can try to look for the newer motel/hotels bc they are a lot cleaner and a lot more remote, quieter, cleaner breakfast area and selections. Everything was to par so there’s no complaints whatsoever. Really enjoyed our stay and we are glad that we were able to find this hotel here away from town. Felt safe up here too.

Very clean. Beds are comfortable. Staff was very pleasant. Hot water lasted a long time all 3 of us were able to shower and never lost hot water. The water pressure was great. Would stay there again!

This is a newer more modern hotel that is definitely worth the semi steep price. It is very beautifully decorated with plenty of seating, TV’s, and even a bar in the corner.(Skip the bar, the beers are around 5 $ a piece and the selection isn’t that great. They had Abita, Corona, Samuel Adams and a few others). They offer a full breakfast starting at 6:30AM(I would have liked it to have been earlier) which included things like eggs, sausage, ham, cereal, croissants, oatmeal, fruit and juice. It was decent. I was hoping for bacon and they used lunchmeat ham instead of the ham I’m used to for breakfast. The double queen rooms are a nice size with a pull out sleeper couch in a sitting area and two very comfortable beds. There is a desk for any kind of work to be done on and a flat-screen TV. The TV was in a really odd area and could not be seen by the bed near the window. There was also a microwave and a mini fridge. Please be forewarned, the mini fridge is terribly small. It will not hold many groceries at all. There was no bathtub but there was a stand in, glass shower with very good water pressure. Towels were thick and comfortable. We asked for extra and were not provided extra. The TV screen was dark and I couldn’t figure out how to change it back or if a bulb was burning out. The AC is phenomenal. We set the AC at 68 and woke up feeling every bit of that 68 degrees. The curtains weren’t that great at keeping the sun out which really stunk as we were on vacation and wanted to sleep in. Now although Jocelyn and the rest of the staff was amazing, we did have a problem with one of the women. She was the woman with the long braids and she worked the early morning shift. She was incredibly rude and honestly, is the reason for our switch to Towne Place suites. Her poor attitude and curt responses and inability to help us, made this hotel experience downgrade from a 5 to a 3 ½. I can’t speak on any of the amenities as we didn’t use any but there were plenty of them! All in all, we’d definitely stay here again. We had a very nice, cool, quiet sleep, hot showers the next morning and a decent breakfast(although for the entire week we were here, the breakfast was delayed until after 7AM) to start the day with.
