Clover Forest Plantation

My brother was married here a few years ago and the experience was wonderful. The grounds are beautiful and the interior of the house has that amazing rustic colonial charm. I stayed two nights in the coach house and really enjoyed it. The food that was catered for the wedding was great too. If you’re thinking of having a wedding here I would definitely recommend it.
One thing that really blew me away about this place is their customer service.
During my stay there for the wedding, I accidentally booked a hotel room not realizing that my brother had already reserved the coach house for me. Clover Forest issued me a refund check which later disappeared into the pile of papers on my desk. Some three years later, I was going through old boxes of stuff and found the old check, well past the common «good for 180 days» threshold.
I could see a lot of other businesses playing games in this situation to avoid paying such an outdated refund… but there was nothing like that here. After trading a few e-​mails with Deidre she got a new check sent out to me in just a few days.

I was married here in May of 2012. Beautiful grounds, wonderful staff, accessible to both Richmond and Charlottesville. They double as a B&B so the whole place can be rented out and the wedding party was able to stay here. Catering is on site and food is absolutely remarkable. Highly recommend! I could not imagine a better place to stay/​be married
