Formerly known as Frida’s. I think people were getting this location confused with the Frida’s on Parham Rd. Kahlo’s used to be a bit hit or miss, but has definitely improved in the past few months in the field of order accuracy. Although it is a great addition to the Goochland Courthouse area, it’s not necessarily a place you’d yearn for after you left the area as it is pretty standard as far as Mexican food goes. That being said, the staff is very kind and accommodating and they even have a mariachi duo some nights, which is a nice touch. Good to see a local business making an effort to improve!

I kick myself every time I order from this place. When I order to go(more often than not) something is missing from my order, or it’s just not prepared well(dry stringy carne a dada, chunky unseasoned chicken, watery queso… I could go on) Also, I don’t feel that their menu adequately represents what they serve. For example the Mexico taco, says it comes with fresh cilantro, pico degalo, onions, and hot sauce, and beans. I got a plate with a corn tortilla with my choice of meat– and two small plates of pico de galo and beans. Save your $ and drive into town to get decent Mexican food.

Great Food! Great Staff! Great Service! Shrimp Quesadilla, Chicken Nachos, and Nacho Cheese Burrito are my go-to picks.

I think the name has changed to Kahlos but it’s the same excellent fresh food, attentive staff with a can do attitude. Everyone is friendly and wiling to help even if you’re not in their section. I normally get the grilled chicken salad always fresh and decent size. My better half gets some enchilada variation again always good portion and tasty. We aren’t your typical customers we drink Wine not margaritas — a decent pour for a fair price A great small n cozy place in Goochland.

I have recently moved to the Goochland area and Frida’s has already become a favorite stop for my once a week«dining out.» The staff are very friendly, curtious and prompt, The food comes quickly and is always hot and plentiful. I also find the prices not to be excessive. Not as cheap as McDonalds but it probably will not break you either. The atmosphere is quiet and warm. I enjoy eating there. Well recomended.

I am so glad I found this place! Great service every time. They are unlike most Mexican restaurants that I have been to, they have conversation with you, ask how your doing, they interact with the kids and treat you like family. The food is delicious and comes in large portion sizes, always walk away with a full belly and wallet since it is very affordable!

Real Tortillas!!! That’s right, not the store bought stuff. This is real deal Mexi-Can. Never would have expected Authentic #MexicanFood in tiny little #GoochlandCourthouse. Quick! Friendly! Clean! It was small but I liked it. If they keep it up they will expand. Everything was hot. Good salsa!

Man has this place improved with time. It is now my family’s favorite restaurant to go to in Goochland. We have eaten almost everything off of the menu and have enjoyed it all. The steaks are sometimes thin, but are cooked the way I want them. The whole family enjoys the cheese dip and guaco that they make at table side. My sons alwasy get the same: nachos, tacos, or soft tacos. The food flavor has definitely improved and the daqauri’s are fantastic.

Had the jalapeño poppers, burrito grande, and flan. * The poppers were delicious, with plenty of hot cheese inside and nice crispy breading, and great flavor, but one of them was a runt. I didn’t feel like making a big deal out of it, but just from a presentation perspective, you should use that one for chopping up into salsa or something. * The flan was very well made — the waitress said she made it herself, and it tasted like it. If only for those two items, this place could have had four stars. The service was not that great, though. In order to get drink refills I had to flag down the waitress — one wasn’t even mine. It wasn’t terrible, but could have been improved, especially with the number of different waitstaff I saw. If you’re not doing anything, keep an eye on the customers! I can’t expect my drink to be magically refilled, but places that do that earn the fifth star. Then there’s the burrito. Yes, it was grande, very filling. But it had no taste to it. Mexican food is more than basic ingredients in a tortilla. While they seemed to be fresh, there wasn’t much in the way of spices added. I should be thankful that at least there was plenty of meat inside — some places love to skimp on that. Overall, if you want good quality food, this place is a lot better than the chains around it. If you want authentic Mexican taste, though, this is not the place. Except, maybe, that flan. I almost want to give that a separate review. Come for the flan. Seriously.

My wife and I were so excited to have a Mexican restaurant in Goochland. We eat a lot is Mexican food and it is traditionally hard to mess up Mexican restaurant food. But this place found plenty of ways to do just that. From beginning to end, this was an awful dining experience for two people who are generally easy to please. The nachos were bland and flavorless. The salsa was ice box /freezer cold and not very flavorful. The service took forever to take our order and deliver out completely forgettable dishes. Even the beans were boring and tasteless. Very sad to say but we will be driving past this place in our way to get Mexican food in Richmond. Upon second visit, food greatly improved.
