Myself and 7 others had dinner there Saturday 1÷16÷16 around 6:30 pm. This place usually has good food, but the service has a tendency to be slow. Which normally is not a problem, however Saturday was ridiculous! Our waitress was horrible, obviously this had to be her first day on the job. This could be the only explanation. The owner walked around with a toddler in her arms the entire time we were there. We all ordered drinks and got them 40 minutes later after reminding her that we still haven’t got our drinks. Half of us still needed water, menus and silverware too. Finally, we all placed our dinner orders. I order Tomato soup instead of salad and another person ordered French Onion Soup. 45 minutes later she comes out to tell us that they ran out of Tomato Soup and won’t have the French Onion soup done by the time the food comes out! Seriously?! We will not be back.

Decent place. Close by. Large enough for family or a nice spot for a date. The food is 5.5 out of 10

Just A-okay, but it should be better than it really is. Generally speaking, the food is decent, but inconsistent. At least my salad was plated well, but I didn’t especially love the soup and my husband sent back his meal and ordered something else, although he didn’t seem particularly pleased with his dish, either. Service is traditionally very good and the bartenders are true mixologists, able to whip up any concoction you can throw at them. Unfortunately, a few loud regulars who spend way too much time on bar stools nursing cheap beer are quite rude and obnoxious. They’ve no doubt spent too much time imbibing domestic beer on those same bar stools and they totally give me the creeps, but anyway… Despite the bad vibe at the bar and creepy patrons giving non-regulars a hard time, the owner is really nice and goes the extra mile to make customers happy, plus the bartenders are some of the best mixologists in the area. The barfly types are a real turnoff, but the drinks are excellent. Good martinis, cosmos and a generous wine list.

New to the area and was looking forward to try Cranberries Café. Extremely Disappointed with the food and the owner’s approach to resolve the issue. She didn’t want to Acknowledge that the food wasn’t properly cooked. She said it was personal Preference & it looked fine to her. If it is ordered very well done the meat shouldn’t be pink. She offered to put it back on the grill. We will not be back. From the time the order was placed & the dinner being served was approx. 45 minutes. That was a long wait.

GREAT place, AWESOME owner, great for a casual or nice dinner out. Also good for takeout — call and ask the staff what food will keep best(stick with pasta; no grilled sandwiches, etc) I have had birthday dinners at cranberries, I had my bridal shower there(they have pirate parties on Sunday afternoons), and I absolutely recommend it for lunch or dinner!

My boyfriend had dined here previously and he recommended that we give it a try. We enjoyed the atmosphere and the food. The service was good and friendly. I did have to ask for a straw a couple of times though. The house salad is very good. I enjoyed the Mac and cheese and my boyfriend liked his salmon. We will return since this is a nice option for us locally with a nice vintage building and bar.

First of all I had come here on a date almost three years ago, it was busy, and also on a Saturday night as it was tonight, but it was not busy at all this time, and that shocked me seeing it was 8pm? Brought my family saying how much i loved their pot pie and so my sister an I ordered it. Sadly to say it was horrible, covered with paprika, which ruined the flavor of the entire plate. The waitress was also very rude, grumpy and just seem to hate her job. The blackened steak salad was okay but not something to order again. Steak was well done and not medium rare as the waitress stated. The only thing that was good was the onion soup.

Most excellent food! Appropriate for children with a reasonable children’s menu, good atmosphere, good service. Try the Smothered Tenderloin Skewer for a good experience. Their bread and house vinagerette are both wonderful.

This place is one of the best kept secrets in Genesee county, and the food is always amazing. Every time I go home to visit family I eat here several times, and stop in for an afternoon brew. Great décor, dining, and overall small town fine dining experience.

I debated between four and five stars. I decided on four due to the slow, yet friendly service, but the delicious food was well worth the wait! Cranberries is the place to go for some unique and sinfully tasty martinis, they even often have a deal that you get free hors devours when ordering a martini! They also have a good selection of appetizers to enjoy while you wait to include fried pickles and potato skin nachos. Our normally loud and rowdy group was quite silent when it came to enjoying our entrees. The blue mushroom steak medallions were said to melt in your mouth and so did the cranberry walnut chicken. The most unique dish of the evening was probably the stuffed shells with marinara sauce. They were stuffed with ricotta cheese and keeping to their namesake: cranberries! Absolutely a must visit restaurant and I still look forward to finding out how I get a chance at spinning their martini wheel!
