CoffeeCakes Coffee House

This restaurant is nicely decorated providing a welcome feeling when you enter. The rest of the experience does not stay on par. Although the owner & staff are pleasant enough — there is just no real energy in the place. The food all tastes store bought and nothing is remarkable. The first time is was for breakfast. The breakfast sandwich was good, but took forever to serve, and tasted no different than something I could make in my kitchen at home.
I decided to go back with a coupon for lunch. Unfortunately, their lack of creativity and lack of passion for the food became especially evident during this visit. The menu is quite limited for lunch. I had a BLT on a croissant. The bacon was cheap bacon you can buy in a supermarket. The croissants were the processed ones and not even warmed up.
As I said, the place is decorated nicely, but it is so quiet that you feel you need to whisper.
In the end, I can’t say anything was bad, but nothing was especially good either. It doesn’t appear that anything is a specialty of theirs — it is all just store bought food put together on a plate.
What a shame. I really wanted a great neighborhood breakfast and lunch place. I don’t think I’ll be back.

Just discovered this place in a strip mall next to the CVS on College Park Rd. Had a really good latte and a delicious slice of coffee cake fresh out of the oven. They serve breakfast and lunch until 2pm. Will definitely be going back to try their food at which point I will update my review.

I just ordered an 16oz iced coffee. The iced coffee was $ 4.40; it was only about ¾ of the way full; and it didn’t even taste that great. Total ripoff. Normally, I am a fan of small businesses, but this is the second time I’ve tried them, and both times, I have been unimpressed.

The Caramel Frappaccino is delicious. This place puts the big name chains to shame! The customer service is fantastic with a southern hospitality feel. I’m always greeted with a smile. The bacon, egg & cheese on croissant is served warm and it’s delicious and the pimento cheese sandwich at lunch is to die for. Check them out!

Love this place. Staff is amazing and it’s a hidden little place but oh so good. The cupcakes are delicious and most people would never know this place is there. Just go and try it out.
