Ordered two burritos with everything, rice and beans on the side. My order was to go for about $ 16 and some change. 1. Lengua(Beef Tongue) And Pastor 2.Chicken And Lengua The server and cook were really nice. Fast service and descent price. Expected food to be bland but surprisingly, it was good. Will come again.

Food was ok at best. Dry steak. Service was super slow. Then the waiter came and turned up the tv really loud and left the room(no idea why, we were the only ones in the restaurant and we were sitting directly under the TV). Would def not come back again!

Inconsistent, dodgy, Mexican Coke. Those four words succinctly describe my experience at Maya Taqueria. Maya Taqueria is as authentic as you can get for still being in the United States. All dishes are true Mexican dishes ranging from empanadas(please don’t hypercorrect to empañada!) to tacos to burritos. Each table gets a basket of pretty decent tortilla chips to snack on with red and green sauces. I have been told they are good, however I am not a fan of salsa on chips. The first time I went, the food was okay. I ordered tacos bistek. They were a little heavy on the cilantro when I went. They were A-OK. The next time I went I also tried the tacos bistek. This time the bistek was way overcooked and crunchy. Again the cilantro was overdone. The refried beans were good. Rice was decent, nothing to write home about. Service is okay since you are probably going to be the only one in the restaurant(I will be surprised if they last a year). Employees are Hispanic, but there isn’t much of a language barrier. Restaurant is dodgy looking. It’s not dirty looking, just dodgy. Unlike some of their competition, they do not offer a bar. One thing that Maya does offer is Mexican Coke! Do not come into Maya looking to get your next high– wrong Coke. Mexican Coke is simply Coke made with sugar instead of HFCS. It makes it a little lighter and more real tasting. The place is decent, but I prefer La Norteña.

Great Mexican Restaurant! Their house salsa is very delicious with just the right kick(good for those that want flavor and with not too much spice). I usually get the steak burrito and have never been disappointed. They also have Mexican Coca-Cola(real sugar vice high fructose corn syrup) ! It is a fairly new restaurant that has fast and friendly service, is much cheaper than the other Mexican restaurants in the area, and it most definitely deserves your patronage at least once. I believe you will return after that first visit as the authentic food is just that tasty.
