Chef is awesome! Great menu choices and many options for me a vegetarian. Loved all you can eat pasta night:)

Went for breakfast which should be fairly simple. Waiter was terrible! I waited. 15 minutes for a coffee refill. Couldn’t get anyone’s attention. Finally got up and went to the kitchen and startled them. Forgot my wife’s bacon. Gravy tasted canned and biscuits were not home made. It’s a shame that a place with such nice ambience is so sub par. You can tell they’re used to serving a captive audience.

We decided to take dinner at the Tavern on the Bluegreen resort we were visiting, due to being exhausted from hours of wrangling with the sales people, and just not wanting to have to drive miles to civilization, just to eat [this place is just past Hooterville and around the corner from where Lost is filmed]. We had to use a GPS to find a Wal Mart. Decidedly quite tonight. Only a handful of others dining though the bar area was full of people watching a football game being played in a snowstorm. We both ordered the 10 oz New York Strip, with baked potato and salad. This also came with a wonderful table bread. Our steaks were cooked to order, and neither of us altered the taste by using sauces. The side items; salad and potato were well prepared. We had an attentive server who took good care of us. My only observation about the Lake Izac Tavern is it is quite pricey. For being on a time share resort, the food was good. The service was good. However, if you do the math, it is more sensible to drive to Charlottesville and eat. Too pricey for my blood. @Removeyourhat
