Had a solid meal here after a long day of shopping. What can I say: the food is what you’d expect of a hot dog and shake from Tastee Freez. Everyone was satisfied with their food and the bathroom was clean. Not a ton of options in this area, I will probably return for the nostalgia factor when I am in the area again.

This is a prime example of what there is to like about Tastee Freez, the reassuringly old-fashioned small-town fast food chain that John Cougar Mellencamp immortalized in «Jack and Diane».

I didn’t like the milkshake or latte. Wasn’t a place of smiles. You would think a Tastee Freeze on a hot day would be fillied with laughing people eating ice cream or chili dogs… uugh. I’ll take mine to go but won’t come back What a shame Gordonsville. Come on.

This place has to top one of the worst places I’ve ever eaten. It was so bad we didn’t even finish our burgers and fries. We watched the cook use a George Foreman like griddle to heat up patties that were already made. I witnessed this when I went back up to order a malt. They don’t even serve ice cream but ice milk. Try Purple Cow down the road for real ice cream. It’s pricier but at least it’s good.

A little pricey but decent for what we were expecting. Had 6 kids with us and 6 adults and they got all our orders right and the staff was very friendly! Would definitely return :)

Such a great hidden gem to get your fast food fix! ice cream is great! My BLT was with some crispy bacon just like how I like it. The staff are super funny and friendly! Brigette and Walter are super nice. They are honest in telling you what to order and what you should not order, which I like! Whenever you’re wanting some fast food, head over to Tastee Freeze!

Purely horrible. The food quality here is WAY sub-standard, and these people have no problem in charging $ 6.95 for a small hamburger the size of a $ 1 burger from McDonald’s. PURERIP-OFF at this location. You are better off going to Hardee’s across the street for a much better value when comparing these 2 locations to eat at.

One and a half stars. Service is not the problem, it’s the horde of flies flitting around the kitchen. The moment I spotted the swarm of ten, I ignored my chili cheese fries craving and opted for something without exposed prep. Portions are generous and I’m a huge soft serve fan, but the sweet treats here failed to impress. The chocolate and vanilla twist had less flavor than the chocolate it was dipped in, and the large pineapple shake probably would’ve had better balance more as a malt. Parking lot adjacent to the stand-alone building, no credit card minimum.

2nd worst place I have ever eaten at! It was over priced and the portions where under sized The hamburger was bland, and the fries where under cooked and tasteless even with their«seasoning salt». The stores it self was out of date and need serious maintenance done. On top of all that the food made me sick to my stomach. I wouldn’t recommend this to my worst enemy, no one deserves food like what they sell here.

The ice cream is always fantastic, but this location has some of the poorest service I’ve ever experienced at a fast food establishment. The lady at the window never spoke to us unless she absolutely had to, and even then she acted like she’d rather spit at us. They completely missed our order of onion rings, claiming they didn’t ring it up. They made no attempt to fix it. We will get our milkshakes at Burger King from now on.

This is an old family favorite. The building is the original from at least 40 years ago, and they haven’t changed much since then. The thing to get here is the soft-serve ice cream dipped in paraffin-based chocolate. It is super-tall, creamy, melts fast, and makes you remember why ice cream is one of the best foods on earth. The actual food itself is subpar, even for fast food. If you really want fast food and not the yummy ice cream, go back up 29 to the McDonald’s in Madison.
