The food was ok nothing too special about it but the prices were not compatible with what you got, I guess what I mean to say is that if you get a $ 10 burger it should come with the works and cheese but guess that’s asking for much? It’s just ok and convenient if you can’t or don’t drive into Main Street

The worst homefries ive ever had in my life. My dog wont even it them. They look like just leftover pieces of potatoes. Eggs are a little on the raw side.

Definitely my favorite diner. The food is diner food but very good quality. I’ve eaten everything there from eggs and pancakes for breakfast to prime rib for dinner. The food is always consistent and the restaurant is very conveniently located. Our favorite part of the diner is the staff. The owner George is always super nice and Raul is our absolute favorite waiter! I highly recommend the Goshen diner over any of the other local diners and many of the other local restaurants.

Old school diner, old school service !!! Literally, my waitress had to be 200 years old, sweet as pie tho. This place is very busy so if you know what you’d like to eat the first time your table is approached you’ll be in good shape. If you waste time being indecisive, then you could get lost in the sauce !! All the diner classics are good here, breakfast, burgers, salads are all very good. This time around I had the shrimp salad, bomb dot com.

Awful breakfast! Everything is overlooked and in very small portions. We ordered the farmers omelet all of the meat inside over cooked and the cheese is from the Kraft single and put it on the plate then omelet on top. The home fries are not solid, very mushy like mashed potatoes. My daughter had hamburger and French fries, it looked good but didn’t taste the best. My son had the pancakes, very over cooked and had black crust to it. Now 30 minutes later my husbands order arrived after changing it to jumbo hamburger and wow it’s the same as a kids meal hamburger size! No cheese, mayo just a plain patty, not real meat! AWFUL restaurant and HIGHLYPRICED for shitty food! The best diner I’ve ever been to is in Kingston Olympic diner !! Best breakfast, lunch and dinner.

I have to update my review. 3 visits later, they get my order wrong. My husband waited 45min for takeout food. People here just seem really disorganized. Food is okay nothing special

i adore this place. it really is the best diner around between monroe and middletown. the waitresses during the day are ancient, but so quick and professional. the food is always consistent diner food, no surprises. the menu’s extensive. the locals complain about it, but really, the place delivers, and it’s clean. what more can you ask? it’s a diner.

Pretty funny that the diner has lost yet another long time paying customer due to their poor management yet once again. An elderly, retired veteran who has been a customer for years was eating at the counter and the manager decided to spray cleaning chemicals on his clothes as a joke. He went home and returned w ruined clothing to speak to owner. Owner offers to pay for replacement clothing due to negligence of management. Next time he returns to eat at restaraunt the same ignorant manager tells him he’s no longer allowed in establishment for going to owner and telling on her. This is insane. A late 70s year old man did nothing wrong but try to have a meal in peace and his clothing gets ruined and he gets kicked out !!! This is absolutely ridiculous!!! When will the owners face reality that their establishment is being run into the ground!!! Smh !!!

Excellent diner. Visiting NY from Miami, Fl and this was one of the best restaurants we have been to the whole trip! Had a grilled cheese with bacon and tomato and everything about it was excellent. Well varied menu with all kinds of food and breakfast all day, which is always a plus in my book. Prices are cheap with sandwitches under $ 10 and the rice pudding and tapioca pudding are less than $ 3 and tasty. Our waiter was a bit strange but nonetheless a very informative and nice guy! Awesome place!

Great food and great service. They made custom homefries for me due to my allergy to peppers. Very friendly folks who care about the customers and quality food. I will definitely be back.

Stopped traveling north. Farther off the interstate than we expected, but pleasant and quick service. Although it was lunch time we opted for breakfast — hubs had pancakes and bacon, I French toast and bacon. Generous servings, freshly made. Coffee was rich without bitterness — but interesting thing was the water. It tasted so fresh and clear we asked for a to-go cup!

Best food; best staff; clean restrooms; low wait time. Prices are ‘fair’. BESTFRENCHONIONSOUPIN A CROCK I’VEEVERHADIN49YEARS. Portions are your typical diner size portions but its good, clean food. A bit out of the way for me, so I don’t go too often. Good thing or I’d never cook at home and eat there every chance I could. It’s really that good. :-)

I have been coming to this Goshen Diner for about 9 years. Maybe a dozen or so times a year where I would sit on the counter to dine on breakfast or lunch. The same tall waitress who would wait on me would get my order«WRONG» or just plain forget to bring something that was included with the meal. After I would remind her about the missing item she would say«oh yes, I’m sorry, I will bring it right over»! Well after waiting and waiting and finally giving up and finishing my meal she would lay the check down on the counter with no clue of the fact that she forgot twice to complete my order. She literally would do this 9 times out of 10 times even after writing it own in their(not to forget pad) until I had to stop sitting in the counter and ask for a table on future stops which only proved to be marginally better. This is with my typical 30% to 50% tip for a breakfast or lunch special. One more time would try counter when the above waitress was not there and(no exageration) not even sitting in my stool yet and still taking off my jacket, three different waitresses asked me if I was ready to order yet, one after the other. Still standing with no menu or anything. No hello, no would you like a menu, only«are you ready to order»! In the middle of the day when they were fairly empty! I put my coat back on and walked out where the manager came after me asking what was wrong and tried in vain to get me to come back inside. Never been back to the Goshen Diner since. Do not miss it either! I now patronize the Americana Diner in the Walkill Plaza, Middletown, NY. Love this place and the food and specials are and service are excellent. Yes, I sit on the counter.

honestly I always went into this diner the food was«ok» Ive been going for probably 20 years i met a waitress there«Dawn» and ended up becoming friendly with her so I actually started going in more often just to eat and see her as she was always so friendly and great to talk with! The past few times Ive been in I was told she was off I was so sorry to miss her but then I ran into her last night and she told me she was ATTACKED at the diner in the parking lot and the restaurant owners ended up firing her after 15 years of service! How can this happen to such a LOYAL hard working employee! This is just heartbreaking for me and I will no longer go into this diner! There are several I can take my business! If a business cant stand by an employee of 15 years that was attacked at their place why would I ever give my business to them!

This is a great diner. My favorite part is that they have a fairly extensive gluten free menu as well as a dedicated fryer. We have Celiac in the family and that is a necessity to eat GF. It is actually the type of place I would feel comfortable ordering almost anything(I do not need GF). The place needs updating in the décor, furniture, and facilities. I was there on the weekend and there was no water in the sink in the men’s room. That kind of thing needs to change.

First visit, we were in the area. Very friendly staff, clean. Booth seats were a little stiff. We had breakfast and it was delicious. Must try the eggs florentine and the eggs Benedict. Best I’ve had in a while. Will come again.

Terrible. Even for a diner. The second to last time we went there my wife found a hair in her drink, mixed up in the ice. It took us a good 3 – 4 months to work up the courage to go there again. The last time we went my wife was halfway through her egg omlet when she lifted it off the plate and found a long curled up black hair under the food. The waitress was not surprised to see it and they refused to take it off the bill. If you want diner food, take the drive over to middletown and go to the american diner.

Visited on National Cheesecake Day(July 30th) because my parents claimed that diner cheesecake is the best cheesecake… I am not completely sure I agree, but the cheesecakes that we ordered definitely hit the spot. We ordered blueberry, «Bavarian,» and Oreo cheesecake slices(see photos). The blueberry slice was a plain slice topped with blueberries, so I tried it to test their plain cheesecake consistency/etc. It was smooth, if slightly dense, but pleasantly cheesy. We also ordered the breaded sweet potato fries… I’d probably pass on those. I wish they’d had normal sweet potato fries. These were giant wedges. Those were probably more ~2 stars. Overall, a decent diner. Service was quick and pleasant!
