The Shrimp Fajitas were outstanding and the guac was delicious! It was Sunday and almost everything was closed in Goshen. We wanted to try the South Side Soda Shop, but I’m so glad things worked out the way they did because Los Primos was really really good! Great service and the food came out fast as well. Highly recommend this place!

I really enjoyed my meal here. We ordered chips and salsa and guacamole. All were great. I had the vegetarian burrito which was huge and chockfull of veggies and cheese. The beans and rice were also excellent. All the food seemed fresh and made to order. I tried the horchata, and it was a little too sweet for my liking but still good. The space is casual and not too big. Our server was enthusiastic and helpful. Checkout is at the counter.

Good place to eat. Food is delicious! Service is good. Would give 5 stars if not for having to pay extra for chips and salsa. Also, no fountain pop means no free refills. I still recommend this restaurant. The food is worth every penny!

Stopped in for lunch on a Monday while in Goshen as a part of a Shipshewana-centered 3-day trip. I was with my grandparents, and my grandpa isn’t into super authentic Mexican(or anything.) I didn’t really read the reviews before going here. we were kind of in a rush because we had tried to go to several other regular American places but they were all closed Mondays. Upon seeing the building, I was slightly comforted for my grandpa’s sake, because it didn’t seem«sketchy» or anything. When we walked in, I could immediately tell that it was very authentic… good for me, bad for him? There were a lot of menu items that I rarely see in Indiana or the Midwest as a whole… including a few things I’ve never seen at all! I tried to hastily look up a few items that weren’t among the conveniently pictured dishes featured in photos on the walls, and I just ended up getting something interesting after the waitress failed to really answer what these one tacos were like… I ordered the potato tacos(don’t recall the exact name). My grandpa had the same… I told him to get flautas because I knew that was«safe» but he just went with the potato thing. They weren’t really«tacos» in the typical sense… they were more of a fork-and-knife affair. They were fried and were small, sort of more like an empanada. They were stuffed with none other than instant mashed potatoes(or at least they seemed to be). They were actually pretty good… they hit the ticket for being something I’d never had before, even if they were just instant potatoes. My grandma also said her enchiladas were good. The chips are good too, clearly made in-house, but $ 1 extra… probably worth it. Overall, this wasn’t the best Mexican I’ve had in Indiana by any stretch, but it intrigued me. I’d really like to come back and try something else… there were tons of things that appealed to me and several interesting items that I wanted to try. I’d have better luck bringing back my dad… he’s all about the authentic Mexican food scene.

The food is excellent. My problem is that you have to cross your fingers and hope you get what you ordered. I have had my order messed up probably 50% of the time. Its also sad that you have to pay extra for chips and salsa.

We came to Goshen for a night and decided to try Los Primos. I am half-Mexican and have traveled in Mexico… and from my experience, I was very impressed with the freshness, authenticity, and quality of the food. We ordered maiz with mayonnaise, cheese, and seasoning(chascas) as an appetizer which was scrumptious. I ordered a vegetarian burrito, which to my delight, had eggs as a protein source! The refried beans and rice were delicious. I tried my partner’s fish tacos which were one of the best I’ve ever tasted, soft/tender — and not fishy at all! The service was very friendly. I have to say, that this restaurant out-cooks many I’ve tasted in larger cities like Chicago and St. Louis… because freshness & authenticity make a difference in the quality of food!

The food is so delicious you don’t mind the small dining area. What it lacks in ambience it makes up for with quality, friendliness and authenticity. Carne asada Is my favorite.

We decided to ditch the offerings on the indiana toll road and head to Los Primos as recommended on Unilocal.Well worth the detour. I had the fish taco plate special. The fish was just a little crunchy on the outside, the tortillas were tasty, all the flavors melded into a delicious entrée. Nice service, too. It is a very small place and a lot of people seemed to do carry out but there are tables to sit at.

I’ve enjoyed all the meals I’ve eaten here so far. Being a vegetarian there aren’t too many options but enough to keep me satisfied. I always order the chascas(stewed corn with mayo, cojita cheese and chili powder) and use mass amounts of the green sauce they bring out to you. I have been here only three or four times but it is one of my favorite Mexican restaurants in the area. The staff are very nice and accommodating. I wanted a vegetarian torte and they happily made me one while asking exactly what I wanted on it.

MUYBUENO!!! Did I die and just go to Mexico? Authentic Mexican food at it’s best… I love Mexican food and would like to believe I got a pretty good palate when it comes to Mexican food… Coming here for the first time I fell in love… The food was fresh and absolutely delicious… They offers many more choices than most Mexican restaurants and very reasonably priced… If you are looking for«free» chip refills, syrup poured in a carbonated water machine soda and cheap bang for your buck food there is a Hacienda close by and if you want you can make the drive to Margaritas in Middlebury… but if you love food like I do stop here and don’t worry about chip refills and fill up on great food and wash it down with a authentic soda made with sugar… A meal just the way it suppose to be

¡Qué ricos tostadas de camarón! This place has insanely awesome, authentic Mexican. I had a Jarritos and tostada de camarón and I think I forgot to breathe while eating; it was delicious. Anyone who complains about the drink selection or value can steer clear, we don’t want you here anyway — when I walk in and I’m the only gringo, I consider that a good sign. This place is for people who want a casual place they can eat great, authentic food for a very reasonable price.

After reading the Elkhart Truth reviews I was excited to try this remodeled restaurant. The drinks are non-fountain and you pay by the can or bottle consumed. No complimentary Chips & Salsa. The salsa is provided in very small amounts, but cost $ 2 per serving. However, Excellent salsa! It does offer a unique menu experience vs other local Mexican menus. However, Margaritas Restaurant in Middlebury offers a better value for the money.

Incredible. I had 3 tacos. Steak, chicken, and ground beef. All 3 were great. Make sure you add the hot sauce. Best Mexican food in Goshen I’ve had.

A great little place for authentic Mexican food. The Fish Taco dinner was one of the specials — very tasty! My wife had a Chicken Burrito Supreme, also very good. She noted how tasty the flour tortilla was.

Holy Schnikies! Aye caramba! It’s a two hour drive for me to get to this joint/dive. And worth it. Our party of 5 recently stopped by for the 1st Friday scene in downtown. For a backwater, they do a pretty good job on a 1st Friday party. Especially loved the Porsche Owners Car Club and Show on the Square — but I digress… It’s snug. Not tiny, but small and snug. Apparently, there is a gastronomic mexacali freaking GENIUS [nom-de-grill] named Chef Lopez that runs this place — hiding behind a non-descript exterior on a corner just a block NE of the courthouse. (***Thanks to the Unilocal nation for putting this on the radar***) So, we’ve got 5 of us incl. 2 vegetarians. The less adventurous at the table stick to traditional stand-bys; chimichangas, burritos(1 a crazy hot burrito), nachos, tostadas — normal TexMex fare, and they are a happy. The foodies among us, incl me, tackle the cabeza(beef cheeks) and lengua(tongue)in traditional tacos and torta forms. My uninitiated wife immediately pronounces the cabeza as ‘wonderful, delicious’. I would add soulful, divine, and ‘melt in your mouth’. Probably the best torta I’ve ever had($ 5.50), and the cabeza was front and center stage. On the side — a lengua taco. Geez, I hate to complain about there being too much meat, but it was really piled on(for a $ 1.50!!). AND, apparently there is always Horchata or another agua fresca at hand served as the perfect buttress to my wonderful meal.(mexican sodas are prevalent too) Unless you’re ordering a few inexpensive tacos, tostadas or tortas — expect your bill for full plates to be about $ 10/head incl drink. It was VERY busy, and the kitchen was certainly backed up and slower than I expected — but it was solidly worth the wait. Our server was very helpful and sweet. We’re going back soon for their take on Cuban Ropa Vieja! And the cabeza.

i stopped here on Saturday based on the high rating by Unilocal reviewers & they got it right. Quality, authentic Mexican food with plenty of choices and a number of specials. I had the Aztec Burrito which is made with chirizo, cactus, bell peppers and onions which was delicious and plenty filing. Chips and salsa unpon being seated and a very pleasant server made for a perfect choice to eat when travelling thru Goshen. Count me in as a well-fed and satisfied customer.
