I stopped by their stand at the fair. They were selling a few items. My cousin from New York was here and she really enjoys fudge. They had a wide variety of fudge available. It was buy two get one free so we had to get three! We chose peanut butter, cookies and cream, and this caramel pecan one. Peanut butter was my favorite. Super soft. Yummm

If you’re touring around the Indiana countryside, drive through Gosport. It’s a tiny little town with a few features worth looking at. The newest is a bright and lively store selling retro candy and some hand made candy as well. Walk inside the little slip of a shop and your eyes are alight with bright colors on the walls, and barrels, jars and bins of sugary goodness. Some new and hip, some harkening back to your childhood days whether you are a boomer or Gen X. Run by a home town local and her family, we found the place fun, with items such that everyone can afford some little pick me up, even if you’ve just got a few cents in your pocket. Val-o-Milk, Boston Baked Beans, taffy, fudge, hand made truffles… and some cute little gifty-type items squeezed here and there, too. We walked out with a few truffles to tide us over until lunch, and they were awesome; good quality chocolate, well balanced flavorings, and a good price. They also have some ice cream as well. I picked up a brochure and they also do custom orders, baskets, etc. for a great child’s birthday party, special occasion, etc. We used to own the large historic opera house building in the next block. We spent a few years in Gosport before moving out West six years ago, and were delighted to come back for a visit to find Gosport seemingly doing well.
