Godley’s Tree Service and Custom Landscaping

I contracted Godleys for extensive tree and landscape work. They showed up and spent 3 hours on the job. They stated they would return to finish at a later date because of time and because of a bee issue. The job wa supposed to include trimming all the trees, removing a few trees and the stumps, removal of all vines from trees and other landscape. Most of the work was completed to my satisfaction, the crew worked diligently. They did not remove the stumps of cut down 1 tree or finish removing the vines. The lady on the phone agreed to have a crew back today around 1pm and as of 5:45 pm I am s6236606till waiting. It seems they are not as trustworthy as they claim but have no problem demanding payment in full before completing the job. I would recommend the workers who did the actual work but I would not trust the actual owners.
I am happy to change my review if or when the work is completed or some of my money is refunded so I can afford to pay someone. To complete the work.

Godleys did come out when they said they would, and they did trim a couple of the trees i needed trimming for, however there were two large bush/​trees that I asked to just be cut down. NOT dug out. Well. they decided to dig them out so they could transplant them on their farm and then sell them to the next consumer. I dont have an issue with that, however I DO have an issue with the gaping hole left from digging it out that they did not even offer to put some soil back there, AND. they drove their big truck onto my property damaging two main sprinkler heads. To trim 3 palm trees, and cut down two large bushes. they charged me 499.00 why 499.00 because if they had charged me 500 $ I would of been able to use the 25 $ off coupon that I had… well played … well… played. We called and told them that they damaged our sprinklers and no call back, they didnt even pretend they wanted to help. NOW.. because getting the trim was so expensive, then they cut the cable line, my outdoor lighting line and damaged my sprinkler. we dont have the money to get the sprinkler fixed and now my grass is pretty nearly dead. i work with many contractors and service people in my business. unfortunatly i didn’t have a good tree person and called Godleys, it was a mistake, and I would caution using this greedy company. I was going to put them on my vendor list to pass on to my clients. now they are going to go on the list NOT to call. no way guys… not worth your money and they could give a shit about you.

This company came recommended to me through family. In the beginning everything seemed fine, however after the work started communication was non existent, except when they wanted payment. I paid for work without seeing the completed job as I was out of state. They did send pictures but when I returned to the property there was one tree that was not done as job description. After three tries and weeks of waiting with no return phone calls I have hired another company to remedy the problem. Still waiting on response which never comes.
I would stay away for this company if your looking for quality work. They also damaged property that was not mine and although they threw down some sod pieces the work is shoddy at best and I will be fixing that damage as well.
Be warned they are not easy to work with and do not return calls as promised !!
