Very nice spot. Agreed. Very peaceful. People are super nice. Food is good. Some things better than others. Really dug the pizza and jalapeño cheesy bites. Get the Sweet Rosé Panty Remover. Make it happen.

The atmosphere is so peaceful and relaxing watching the boats on the river. Very friendly and the food is outstanding! I had the grilled chicken cranberry walnut salad big enough to share!! My husband had the mushroom Swiss burger and onion rings and said it was outstanding!!! The onion rings was very good true onion rings!!!

Great casual dining and drinks on the water. The dirty monkey frozen drink is good and the soft pretzel sticks with beer cheese dip hit the spot for a light snack.

Cool idea, potential atmosphere. Subpar high school cafeteria style food. Asked for medium cooked burger got well done /overdone. The quality of chicken and beef was lower than necessary considering they are advertising the chicken as Hawaiian bbq. It takes more than squirting sauce on it folks! Burgers seem pre packaged and are not juicy what so ever The one alcohol beverage had little to no alcohol. Couldn’t taste it. Give someone who cares about quality your money not this place. Hey owner, don’t like the negative reviews? Maybe try to rethink your establishment. I gave it a chance hoping the reviews were harsh and realized they were accurate, very.

See my review for Grafton Harbor to get all the details. The long and short of it it as follows: 1. I live two miles from Grafton, and after 10 years finally decided to see what it was all about. 2. O-Jans and the thrift stores sucked. 3. The ice cream places were expensive, but good. 4. Grafton Harbor was very nice and super friendly. 5. Big Kahuna was the best restaurant I could find in Grafton. If you go, you should try it out. The food was very good, the staff was friendly and attentive. They didn’t have exactly what I wanted, but they were able still make me happy, and the onion rings were delicious. If I had to go back to Grafton… which I don’t plan on it… I would definitely catch a wave to the Big Kahuna and sit for a while.

Grafton is famous for its wineries, but if you get a little hungry while visiting I recommend Big Kahuna Bar & Grill. The décor and the location along the river will make you feel like you’re somewhere a little more tropical than the Metro East. Prices and service were solid. If I were to suggest a menu item the Kahuna Crabby Balls were excellent and the The Kahuna Classic was more than filling. Even though we didn’t have one I have heard they have pretty good pizza too.

The view of the water from the deck is great, but that’s where it ends. My husband & I each ordered a burger and fries with ice tea. It took some time for our order to be taken, but service was a little faster — though not frequent — after that. The burger was not ver good in my opinion — overcooked and salty. My husband thought it was fine. Fries are the crinkle kind — they were ok and plentiful. Ice tea was awful. I would not eat lunch or dinner here again, but it would be fine for some drinks and a fried appetizer.

Grafton is famous for its wineries, but if you’re thirsty for something other than fermented grapes, I recommend Kahuna’s. The décor and the location along the river will make you feel like you’re somewhere a little more tropical than the Metro East. Prices and service were solid, although like in many parts of Grafton, there is no cell service. I think our party were the only guests on a summer Saturday afternoon. And we’ll probably be back.

We had a great time at Big Kahuna. The staff were all friendly and the service was good. We sat at the bar and had drinks. The only food we ordered was fried pickles, they were good, typical bar food. We will definitely go back.

I RARELY rate bars/restauraunts soley on service— but when they are 6 teenage girls working at the bar, standing around eating, and doing everything else BUT waiting on tables, thats pis$$es me off… we went on a Saturday evening, sat at table, and NOONE waited on us, we asked for a menu and the waitress POINTED to where the menus were as for us to get our own, then we went to the bar to get our own beer– we asked for the manager and granted she did give us a free beer bc of the awful service, she made excuses for them saying it was during shift change and the girls were all confused… ridiculous… we didnt stay to eat.

After 35 minute wait, the fish sandwich was hot but not seasoned. Onion rings were seeping oil and fries were lukewarm and tasteless. Out on the deck it was nice enough, service friendly and Land Shark was cold.

I love this place mostly because it’s friendly, spacious, and it is one of the few actual marina waterfront bars in Grafton. The bar is upstairs and overlooks the boats in the marina. The Big Kahuna has reasonably priced basic pub grub and a full bar. None of the food is outstanding and the waitstaff are fairly young and flighty. But the view and atmosphere are nice and the new owners came to our table to introduce themselves. Nice touch.
