I have taken this ferry many, many times on the way from STL to Pere Marquette. It is a free ferry linking Calhoun County, IL to Grafton and Pere Marquette. This ferry can get very busy on weekend.
Safe, easy trip. You may get out and take pictures during the boat ride. Cars, Trucks, and Motorcycles are all moved by this ferry.
It operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This ferry is operated by the Illinois Department of Transportation.
