I had the best omelet ever this morning at The Flipside! Spinach, mushrooms and Swiss cheese was excellent! My husband’s bacon was still sizzling when he was served. Food came out quickly even though most tables were full. My coffee cup never was empty. Place was clean even the restrooms. Katie our server was terrific. Will definitely return.

Super cute little family restaurant. The menu is endless and is very reasonable for price. Waitress was friendly and tables were clean. Chose the western burger for about $ 8. Fries were delish! Soup is way overpriced which was kinda dissapointing. Awesome kids menu with dessert to go.

My husband and I had breakfast here this morning and had a great experience! Nice atmosphere, super friendly staff, yummy food. A great place to get breakfast – we got there around 8:45 and it was not too busy, but most of the tables were filling up. I had an omelet with toast and hashbrowns which was tasty and my husband had a breakfast quesadilla — he said the salsa with it was amazing. The rest of the menu looked super good so we will definitely be back to try lunch!

Not good, but not awful. Service was friendly but the food was mediocre. The mood and atmosphere of the place was boring and the food options were as well. The location of the place gives it potential but they aren’t doing anything with it!

I always eat at restaurants. Flipside has awesome cooks and serve staff. They care about the quality of their service and food. I really enjoy eating here. I wish them all the best and success!

I have been here twice for breakfast and both times have had very good omelettes and toast. I found the potatoes(I tried the hash browns once and the house breakfast potatoes once) bland and the applesauce way too sweet, but the omelettes were fluffy and fresh and flavorful. I recommend the spinach, feta, and tomato omelette. The food also came out very fast on both visits(one weekday and one weekend, both midmorning). The service was friendly if not particularly attentive.

The flip side is very similar in feel and taste to nisleits in port Washington. Located next to port state bank it doesn’t look like a resteraunt. And if you don’t pay attention you could easily drive past the building since parking is located behind it and the drive is as well. The food is mediocre. I wouldn’t say tasteless but I will say that little cooking creativity goes into their meals. Not a bad thing if your looking to eat somewhere instead of out of a can or TV dinner box. The meal I bought on our only visit was a breakfast and I can honestly say George webbs has done better. The cheese was fake and the eggs tasted too hard to be fresh. The clientele is largely populated by the areas senior citizens. We ate at this resteraunt only once to know it belonged on our«never to return to» list.

Love this place… been here multiple times. Good food and good service. Prices are also very reasonable. A+++

Run of the mill diner. The Eggs Benedict was ok — seasoned well but the eggs weren’t cooked consistently — one was runny one was not — and the hollandaise sauce was starting to congeal. Flipside potatoes are excellent though — loved the rosemary. We also had the cinnamon french toast and a burger. Both were good but the burger didn’t taste charbroiled. Service was average(out waitress disappeared towards the end), but the portions are big and the food came out pretty quick.

The service was nice and pleasant. I went with a bacon and sausage omelette, my wife had the stuffed french toast. The hashbrown a were good, but everything else was very bland. Sausage had no flavor, I didn’t taste the bacon, but I could see it. The French toast lacked flavor, well except for the last bite which contained a bit of onion which was quite a startling finish for blueberry stuffed french toast. The clientele was older, which may explain the bland food.

Prices are fair at this restaurant but it did not wow me. The eggs were pretty tasty but the menu needs work. No wiFi at this restaurant made me a little angry. The main reason I came was to do my work and eat. The clientele here seems older. I wish this place had more creative items on the menu. Server was kind and refilled my soda several times. Three out of five.

I ate at the Flip side for the first time this morning. I ordered the Grafton omelette with flip side potatoes. My husband had steak and eggs. They were both outstanding meals. I was pleasantly surprised by how much seating there was and the wait staff was friendly and fast.

The food was good. The service was good. But the decorating looked old and the food was pricey.

Great diner. Lots of choices on the menu from breakfast to dinner. I had the baked French onion soup and my companion had the deluxe breakfast combo trio with a huge Belgian waffle, hash browns, breakfast meat, and lots of toast. Standard breakfast fare and lots of it. My soup was good, but I would have liked a roll with it. Lots of gooey Swiss cheese on top. Broth was good and oniony, with a beef base. My criticism is that the menus were sticky, a problem in restaurants that serve a lot of breakfast. I liked it, though, and would definitely go back.

This is a nice place to stop for lunch or breakfast. I have been coming here for years. During that time the food has always been consistent, ranging from average to good. The salads are plentiful and fresh. The breakfast menu is diversified and tasty. The service has always been good. The last time we stopped, we had the fish sandwich and the Rueben. The Rueben was great according to my husband. But, oh my, the fish was awful! It tasted like it had been frozen long past the recommended time line. Considering this is the only time the food was disappointing, it remains for me, a good place to eat.

I wasn’t impressed with the microwave entries. Really, the cheese gets hard after 2 min reheat. The place it’s self looks nice & the service was good. I wish I could’ve loved the food. What I did enjoy is watching the next table pick through their food as well.

This has the potential to be a gem of a small business, but there are some glaring issues. Being newer to the area, we sought out some interesting places for a Sunday meal. While they had brunch, we opted to wait until brunch was over so that we could experience a typical service and food. The décor was a combination between old school and some newer modern designs and the table set-ups resembled a typical diner with booth and table seating for a variety of groups and there was even a party room visible in the back. We decided to try the BEST Hot Cocoa(as advertised in their menu). It was lukewarm at best and while it had a chocolate flavor from what was a Hershey’s syrup topping with the whipped cream, it was not the best, but it was comforting. For an appetizer, we ordered the cheese curds. These were a run of the mill frozen product with a beer battering on them and while nice, it was again nothing spectacular. During this time, my girlfriend had some French Onion soup as well(her favorite dish). The amount of onions was minimal and the broth needed a bit more overall cooking. There was also a sparse amount of cheese and croutons within the crock. When she asked for some bread to soak up the rest of the broth, it was forgotten, as was her lemonade that she had ordered. The main meal left us the potential this place has overall. She had the chicken parmesan pasta and I had the Tomato and Bacon Alfredo with chicken added. Each of these was quite good, plentiful in ingredients and appeared to be made fresh, although the parmesan chicken breast looked like a frozen pre-made breast rather than hand made. The worst part was the service. In a small atmosphere as this one, we would expect personalized service. There was a lot of staff, but no top-notch service was noted by us at any table. Our server was pleasant, but forgot refills, parts of orders, etc. and did not apologize. We were interrupted multiple times during our meal as well — once to fill/exchange our table caddy(reaching from across a divide and us) and another to use a power sweeper under our table while we were seated there(having to lift/move our feet). With a bit of refinement and attention to detail, combined with more fresh ingredients and skill, this could be a great place to go everyday for a meal, but for now, it will remain a choice when we have nothing else in mind or are just in the area. We will keep our eye on it though because of the potential we see.

I visited last week with one of the Usual Suspects from my Sunday morning breakfast adventures. On Phil G.‘s advice, I ordered the. Dairyland Omelette, the Usual Suspect ordered Mac & Cheese. The Dairyland Omelette was loaded with cheese and had a slight smoky taste to it. To say I enjoyed it would be an understatement. The omelette contains bacon, sauteed onions, green peppers, potato chunks, cheese curds and for an exclamation point, there is a slab of American cheese melted on top of it all. It’s served with a side of sour cream, your choice of potatoes and toast. It’s far more food than I can eat in one sitting. The mac & cheese is a huge serving in a large bowl that is probably used for a chef’s salad. The pasta is curly, the melted cheese is abundant. The Usual Suspect reports that it’s the best mac & cheese he has ever had, and he invited me to try a forkful as he was stealing a bite of Dairyland Omelette. I concur, the mac & cheese is outstanding and worth the drive to Grafton. I will certainly be back the next time I’m in the area!

2nd Place for a Denver Omelet– The highlight of this newly found café is the curteous service! Every interaction with various staff members was pleasant and attentive. Continuous coffee and drink refills without asking is always a plus! The food– I’m going to say it’s now my second favorite place for a Denver omelet. Cheesy and packed with the essentials like ham and mushrooms made for a second place trophey. Not to mention their cinnamon applesauce. It reminded me of my Grandmothers fried apples from growing up. Atmosphere is airy with lots of windows. Oh, and they were very clean. There was a server walking around constantly with a rag to clean up any necessary messes after meals were taken away. Looking forward to trying their lunch menu next time around.
