Dickey’s Barbecue Pit

What a find! Located at Village Greens Golf Course, you might pass it by. DON’T. Fantastic sliders at a bargain price of one buck. The BarBQue sauce and smoked meats are worth it. And I’m very particular. And the the chicken wrap is fresh and full of flavor. Bravo to Anthony. Great host.

We had Dickies cater my sons’ wedding and Ellen and her staff did an amazing job! Everyone loved it thank you all so much.

Came to try some bbq and it turn out really good. This place is on a golf course. The view from restaurant is absolutely gorgeous, you can see golfers playing golf while you enjoy delicious bbq. Food is great and really clean.

First let me say, this is indeed an odd place to find a Dickies BBQ. I’ve been to many in this chain and for sure, this is the most unusual locale. Not bad in the least, just the most unexpected. This is a golf country club and what a brilliant idea to put it here! I got to enjoy a lovely winter afternoon watching enthusiastic golfers thwacking balls around the greens while dining on some excellent BBQ. I had the smoked turkey, mac & cheese, and Cole slaw. Everything perfect. The turkey was moist and totally delicious. I was sorry to see I’d finished my meal, hoping to prolong the enjoyment a little longer.
Please don’t bypass this Dickies simply because you assumed it couldn’t possibly be in THERE. Delicious BBQ with an amazing view, what more can you ask for?

My parents took me here when I visited them. It’s at a golf course, which I think is kind of interesting, but that said it’s not super-​fancy snooty country club vibe.
Order your food, get a number, and they bring it out to you. If you buy a meal there’s whole dill pickles and soft-​serve ice cream — if you don’t buy a meal they’re like a dollar or something. The pickle was pretty good, the outside was crisp, the inside was tender… I wish it was a little colder, but whatever.
The pulled pork basket was awesome, I’m hoping we come back before I leave, because we just don’t have pulled pork like that up in Connecticut.
