Place is pretty gross. The only redeeming factor in the whole joint is the Mongolian grill.

Wow, the very definition of mediocre… My thing on, «all you can eat buffets» are to lower expectations, because most people are in search of volume instead of quality. Probably why Americans are so obese… The people working there are so friendly and were working so hard I hate to give a bad review, but the food was not good. You would think it’s impossible to mess up the Mongolian Stir Fry, but it had no taste, ugh! In all fairness we went on a Monday Night and I hope the weekend puts out a better effort.

Have given this place several chances over the years. Very hit and miss, but more miss…. The last take out order was a total bust. Ordered Szechuan Beef(basically spicy beef and carrots) and got a Beef dish that had everything but the kitchen sink thrown in it, with the exception of anything spicy. Beef was really poor quality(lots of gristle and fat). The Crab Rangoon: it’s been changed to a flat triangle shape; was stale, hard, and filled with imaginary crab. My other half spent a lot of time in the«throne room» the next day compliments of the Egg Drop Soup(it was the only thing that I didn’t eat!) The Won Ton Soup: Thick dumpling dough wrapped around a small meatball(got 4 in a quart of soup) left to overcook in watered down chicken broth with a random little piece or two of green onion top. The food here was never great, but it used to be okay enough to satisfy a Chinese food craving without a trip to Ft. Worth. Sadly, the cravings will now require the drive.

We ordered take-out, and I’m usually disappointed with the blandness of so-called spicy dishes, but was impressed that their szechuan chicken was actually spicy! The only problem was that the dish was mostly shredded carrots and very little chicken. My husband’s noodles were good, though, and the hot and sour soup was great.

About what you’d expect from Chinese in a small town. I’ve had much better but I’ve also had much worse too. It’s not the freshest because they don’t have a lot of traffic but it works when you need to get your Chinese fix.

If you like good Chinese food, DONOT eat at this restaurant. The food was tough, cold, stale, greasy or tasteless. We tried the Sunday buffet. There were many choices and we tried many of them — all were bad. We will not return. On a positive note, the restaurant was clean and the prices were moderate. You would do better, however, at any Panda Express or at the frozen food isle of your local grocery store.

Not very good whatsoever. I think it is mainly because this is a small town Chinese buffet. I don’t know if there are any Chinese people even in the town. Besides a random Chinese buffet I went to in Florida one time, this was the worst. We had the craving for wonton soup and in a small town like Granberry, there isn’t much for options when it comes to Asian cuisine. They didn’t have Gen Tso’s chicken, so I had sesame chicken. It was mediocre. The sushi was pretty shiestly cut. I think i saw some Totino’s frozen pizza on the buffet next to the Ore Ida French Fries. Oh well. I wasn’t really expecting much, but I was still disappointed because in Houston, even the worst of the worst Chinese buffets are still 10x better than this joint. No regrets! HAHA. Just trying to save someone else from this place with my review I guess. They have a grocery store next door. It would be better to just go there and buy some stuff and cook it up! Also, make sure to look at your check. We ordered water and they charged us for a drink. I will say their sandy cookies were awesome. Soft serve ice cream was good too, but I cannot give them credit for that.

I was feeling very naseaus and when ever I feel sick I crave won ton soup. It hit the spot for what my Chinese mood was craving. Being from Houston and having tried a million Chinese buffets this wasn’t by far near what we are used to but for the small town of Granbury it was good enough for me. The almond cookies with icecream would get me to come back alone haha those were the best.

If you’ve been in one Chinese restaurant, you’ve been in them all. Waiters with huge smiles, over the top«Chinese» décor and miles and miles of buffet. In this regard, China Café delivers… and then some. But the difference is that, once you get past the stereotypes, the food they serve is actually pretty damn good; and the variety, while extensive, is not so absurd that you get lost in the selections. It is a welcoming mix of tried-and-true favorites and house specialties, both of which are done very well. Personal favorites are the steamed dumplings, the pepper shrimp, and the sesame chicken. And the egg rolls. You can’t go wrong with a good eggroll or two.

OK. I may not be an Asia food expert, but I love this place. Great buffet, good sushi, and good Mongolian grill. I try to eat there at least 2 – 3 times a month. Put your hungry on and gooooooooo Wasabi.
