This weekend we stumbled upon Christina’s while waiting for a reservation at another restaurant on the Granbury Square. We were warmly welcomed to the quaint bar at the front of the Bistro. After great drinks — and even better conversation with Kate and some locals — we cancelled our other reservations and stayed for dinner. Dinner was fabulous! Lobster rolls, cheese board and to-die-for Key Lime pie. We had such a good time we came back for Sunday brunch the next day! Again — great food, great ambiance, great conversation! Clearly the hippest place on the Square. A must try.

This place is our Favorite place to go eat now in Granbury. The owners are very nice, and I love the new bar. If you want good food that isn’t the normal Granbury menu come here. I think we have been 6 or 7 times now.

This is by far my favorite place on the Granbury Square! I am becoming a regular at this place. I love to cook at home so becoming a regular at any place for me speaks volumes. The Sunday Brunch chicken and waffles is the best fried chicken in town. Lemon Blueberry pancakes are awesome. Their pastry chef is great too!

It is with great joy and very happy taste buds that I finally have a reason to write a GOOD review about a restaurant in Granbury. After waiting for 18 years for a quality restaurant in this town I had truly given up, but FINALLY, the food God’s have come through, and in a big way ! If you appreciate quality ingredients that are exceptionally prepared and beautifully presented, then you are going to fall in LOVE with Christina’s Bistro just as I have ! Chef Gary and his wife Katie have unquestionably set a new standard for dining in Granbury. Nothing in town even comes close; not even The 1890 Grille because of their steak temp and consistency issues. After reading another Unilocal review, the words«prime rib» caught my eye and I thought«what ?, no one offers prime rib for lunch or brunch», so I called and learned that Christina’s is now offering a dinner service, so we decided to finally give it a try(we usually do brunch and/or lunch in Ft. Worth or Dallas simply because of the lack of options and bad food that is endemic in Granbury). Our meal began with«A Taste of Christina’s» appetizer sampler which consisted of a thick, creamy queso dip filled with the most wonderfully spiced sausage served warm with tortilla chips and toasted baguette, 3 pieces of «fresh Mediterranean baguette» that consisted of fresh mozzarella cheese, roma tomatoes and fresh basil drizzled with a balsamic reduction that was absolute perfection, and 3 pieces of toasted baguette topped with a luscious tripel cream brie and a delicate slice of pear also artfully drizzled with the aforementioned balsamic perfection. The balance and depth of flavors left me well beyond pleasantly surprised and anxiously awaiting the main course knowing that if it was the same caliber as the appetizers I was going to be in foodie heaven. The entrée’s arrived shortly after our table was cleared by our very attentive and courteous server and they absolutely did not disappoint. The«Queen’s Cut» 12 oz. prime rib was just as ordered; cooked to medium rare perfection served with a very light, flavorful sauce and was accompanied by grilled baby asparagus and creamy potato mash. It was fork tender, beautifully carved, and not excessively marbled; a fine quality piece of beef. The second entrée was«stuffed lobster tail» and the stuffing was generously filled with pieces of lobster as well. Again, cooked perfectly; the texture was spot on and the flavor was fresh and buttery. It was also accompanied by grilled asparagus and potato mash. Chef Gary personally came to our table not once, but twice. First to ask how we liked our appetizers, and second to see if we enjoyed our main course. He even took the time to have a conversation with us and to tell us a bit about his background with fine wines and their plans for the future which include a selection of wine and craft beer pairings, and the addition of a new custom built bar in preparation for their happy hour that is soon to come ! I am typically a harsh critic in my reviews because I’m so often disappointed that I’ve spent my hard earned money on a mediocre or worse meal, but the only short comings I could find here were perhaps a bit more salt was needed in the potato mash and a bit more toast on the baguettes in the appetizer course. I kid you not, those are the only two minor(VERY minor) flaws that I found(there are salt and pepper shakers on the tables so that was an easy fix!). It’s as close to a perfect meal as I’ve come, anywhere, and I cannot wait to invite my foodie friends, who have dined in a good number of fine dining restaurants all over the world, to come and experience what I consider to be an up and coming rock star restaurant right here in little old Granbury, Texas. We went to Christina’s expecting to be disappointed just as we have been so many times before in Granbury, but I can unequivocally state that my usual expectation was not met; not even close. I am anxiously looking forward to their Sunday Brunch and will update this review accordingly. Please Note: Christina’s is not your typical $ 9.95 for a heaping plate of the fried, smoked, or stale food that is all over this town. Their prices reflect the use of quality ingredients and proper preparation, not the typical canned crap from Sysco. That said, the items in this review, 2 glasses of iced tea, and 2 desserts = $ 70.00+tax & tip. You get what you pay for and Christina’s is worth every single penny. We will return… often !

All this week we have been talking about tonight, we invited two other couples to join us tonight, what a perfect night, we started our dinner with a Beet and Avocado salad and Pear and Brie Crostini, which were amazing, the beets were fresh and beautifully prepared, the Balsamic reduction was the best I’ve had. Next was the Main Course King Cut 20 oz Prime Rib(End Cut), it was prefect! Perfectly seasoned, Perfectly Cooked(Medium Rare of Course) with a Spinach Soufflé and Mash Potatoes, Tina had the Stuff Lobster, the Main course was with a doubt was incredible, for Desert(yes desert) was over the top I had the Cranberry Pumpkin Cheesecake, and Tina had the Dutch Apple Pie, it was a perfect ending to a perfect meal(great job Daggy, as usual) Overall Gary’s cooking and Daggy’s Deserts were on par with some of the finest restaurant’s I’ve been too. Christina’s is a place to visit for the finest food in all of Granbury. So Happy for Gary and Katie, a new standard in cuisine, in our city.

Oh My Gosh! Delish! This is a must when in Granbury. Went for brunch with the family and we all left stuffed and happy. Portions are enough to share. If your appetite is big you will be happy. My sister and I both devoured our Eggs Benedict. Yum-O! Her husband licked his plate, not really, after eating the Cocoanut French Toast with delish bananas on top. My grandson ate the Blueberry Pancakes! Mmm Service was above and beyond spectacular. The owner, Gary, was/is awesome and made sure everyone was happy with their meals. The menu is perfectly unique in tying flavors that most would not think of. Awesome job Christine’s Bistro! BTW: New menu and dining layout in the works. :)

Seriously the best place ever! I’ve had a salad here as well as a panini and tomato basil soup. Everything tastes so good! I only come over to this area when I have court, but I make sure to stop here and eat every time I’m here!

Very cute shop with great bistro on the back! Excellent tomato basil soup!!! Slightly spicy — LOVEDIT!!! The reason I will give it 5 Stars!!! The oriental chicken salad was AWFUL! needs to be removed from menu or made with freshly cut Napa cabbage — it was SOBAD that if I had not ordered the soup and the spinach strawberry salad I would have sent it back!

Such a cute place, right on the square. Quaint and charming, with just the right amount of small town feel. Delicious food and friendly staff. Nothing bad to say about it! And if you like trinkets and Vera Bradley(which I do not), you will enjoy the gift shop area that is part of the restaurant.

Delicious place for lunch. Vast menu makes decision making a challenge. Tortilla soup was wonderful as were the two paninis we tried(the Pirate and the Caprese). Service by Preston was friendly and attentive. We were celebrating a birthday and were surprised when the birthday girl was treated to a beautiful, complimentary chocolate ganache cake topped with whipped cream and strawberries. I’ll go back to this bistro every time I go to Granbury.

Christina’s has by far some of the best and freshest food in Granbury, let alone the square! The service is friendly and welcoming not to mention I’ve seen the chef himself check on tables. I’ve been to Christina’s a dozen times or so and always try to Chef’s featured item. Great food, wonderful service just gotta be careful not to miss the place! Watch for the green and gold sign. It’s almost hidden in the back of a boutique. One of those secret gems you can’t wait to tell your friends about.(As long as you’re taking them.)

I forgot to ask my dad how he caught wind of Christina’s Bistro, located inside Christina’s, the boutique( ), but I’m glad he did. It may seem odd to sit in store that is primarily women’s fashion(and some infant wear) for lunch, but based on the quality of the food, it was worth it. The three of us came to the unanimous conclusion that Christina’s Bistro offers the best possible lunch options on the square. The menu features soups, salads and sandwiches, as well as a good variety of desert items. Service was also top notch(thank you Lacey), and my father even commented that it was the best service he has had in Granbury(he’s been here 3 years). For lunch my dad had the«Oriental Chicken Salad», Thuy the«Leta Mae» club sandwich, and me the«Christina’s Chicken Avocado Melt»(panini). We all enjoyed our respective choices. I was pleased to see that portions were not«tea room» size, and that I was actually full after eating lunch. Toward the end of the meal, Mathias, the chef came out to check on us. I thought that was a nice touch, and he was genuinely interested in feedback on the meal. We told him it was very good and would definitely be one of our first choices for lunch on the square. Without a doubt it was as good as it gets for lunch on the square.
