David’s is an interesting place. I’d call it the king of the«10 for $ 10» specials, as the front windows are always covered in giant sale posters(see photos). Despite the run-down look, David’s is OK. The look makes me more cautious than usual when buying both perishable and non-perishable items(I always check the date), but David’s is low cost and no frills with good value for the money. I will share one other humorous aspect about David’s: This is the only store I have ever been in where even the $ 1 bills are checked with the counterfeit detector pen. The first time it happened, I thought maybe it was just me that looked kinda shifty. But after learning I’m not the only one who’s ones are checked, I asked about this practice. I was told it’s what they were told to do, so it just leaves me to wonder about who is counterfeiting singles in Granbury? Lastly, I recommend you check David’s web-page for more information. It’s actually pretty interesting. It claims 22 locations, which makes me wonder, why is this location number 73? PS. The Unilocal map is a bit off. The location is a bit further north, over the bridge and on the southwest side of the bend in Farm to Market 4.
