Sunny Donuts

Great local donut shop! Sunny is true to his name, and always throws some «extras» in for the kiddos. We have to drive a little more to get to his shop, but it is worth it for great donuts and great service!

It just so happened that we stopped here on our way through this morning. Sunny was such a joy! He was awesome! He cracked me up because he was so bubbly and friendly at 5:45 am!
My favorite donut is the old fashioned and my second favorite is the blueberry cake. Both of these were amazing! He said that his blueberry cake were famous and I would be inclined to believe it! They were the softest and fluffiest blueberry donuts I have ever eaten! It was like biting into a blueberry flavored cloud! MUST try!
His little cinnamon rolls were hot and fresh and were so yummy too!
If you are anywhere close to this donut shop when they are open, you have to go in and try the donuts!!!

All of us should love our jobs as much as Sunny does. Go in and order a donut and he’ll brighten your day. And he makes great donuts and sausage rolls too.

Not many people will have the opportunity to see just how early sunny wakes up and how hard he works to make his donuts happen. He is very dedicated. I had just that, a rare opportunity to follow him around from beginning till end (whew, tiring!).
His incredible personality makes you feel warm and right at home the moment you enter his shop as he greets you. He is a people person so dont feel afraid to talk to him. Youll never catch him not smiling.
Take advantage of complimentary coffee with your donut. All his donuts are handmade, fresh daily (yea thats right! tools yes but no automated machines!) and have a unique flavor that no one else offers. May I suggest his blueberry «cakes» and dont forget to grab a freshly made apple fritter on the way out. The pigs in a blanket (piggies) are awesome and delicious too. «Best in town» as he would enthusiastically say. Choose between jalepeno (big or small) or regular with cheese. Remember to get there as early as possible since his donuts mostly sell out fast. It’s quite a happenin’ place. Prices are cheap. Parking is plenty.
I’m going to miss you sunny and fellow coworkers wendy and raymond! I’ll see you next time when I’m in the state again and I’ll make a special drive out to Granbury for that purpose. Thanks for enriching my life during the time I spent with you.
