We stayed here 3 nights. The motel is clean and well maintained. The price is certainly right, but if you are larger than 180 pounds(tall and thin, or short and rotund – I am not trying to be mean), this motel will not work for you. The rooms are tiny, and the toilets are even tinier. There is no air conditioning, which wouldn’t be a problem if the air circulated in the room, but it doesn’t. I can’t comment on the wintertime comfort of the room, but in my opinion, it just isn’t built for more than an overnight stop on the way to world-class fishing. I love the area, and this motel does everything right to the best of it’s ability. It does belong on the register of historically significant sites, the place is immaculate, and the management couldn’t be more hardworking. But on the comfort scale, I can’t give it more than three stars.

We were just looking for an inexpensive room during a 2 day ice fishing trip. No frills and certainly no chills. While older, this place was spotless, competitively priced and had plenty of current world amenities(electrical outlets EVERYWHERE). And it’s located central so most dining was within blocks which is nice when on foot. Many of the Granby motels are on the far west side of town and a long haul to central downtown if you’d prefer to walk to dinner. And the mgmt treated us with warmth. Limited parking if you have a trailer but mgmt worked with us to get that solved. Oh, they had a little continental breakfast ready at 6:30am which got us going. Will stay there again for sure.

Had a wonderful experience here. The hotel is old but it is clean and the charm has been preserved so well. The front desk person was so nice and accommodating. She even offered to let us use their pack and play for our baby. They also have great rates. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone on a budget looking for a unique and charming place to stay in Granby.

Loved this place. We stayed here only 5 hours during the day due to a train layover. I wish we could have spent the night, though. This is one of the best-kept, beautiful, independently run motels that I’ve ever been to. So clean, too. Great, friendly owners rounded out the wonderful experience. I know we will seek shelter here again if we find ourselves in Granby again!
