Great food. Expensive for a hot dog joint. Accepts competitors coupons, and even expired coupons.

I did the Theodore’s vs Ted’s taste test and have to admit that the food is very similar — great! But on the overall — I have to rate Theodore’s higher on personality, service(especially the cook), food offerings and price. I love the idea of frings as I always want to order each. Coming from Northern California — a Ted and Theodore’s stop was a «no brainer» and a place everyone that visits the area should try. Two things I wish — I could have a Ted or Theodore’s close to where I live(we only have C(K)aspers and I wish they would put a «Tip» jar out.

Theodore’s is a great stop for hot dogs, burgers, and chicken sandwiches. They have a lot of «combo» packs that include multiple sandwiches for a cheaper price. All items are cooked to order, with the typical offering of toppings. My favorite part of the menu is the«fring», which is a half French fry half onion ring. It was cooked perfectly… Nice and crunchy! They also offer Jonnie Ryan sodas by the bottle or pack(made from pure cane sugar), and have fountain Pepsi products. Theodore’s also has a variety of ice cream desserts.

I ordered a hotdog-The roll was stale. Therefore my meal was pretty much ruined. The guy on the grill is not very pleasant and non-welcoming.

Really great food, friendly service and ultra clean! Those kids really work hard, and an adult manager is always there! They’ll top your dog any way you want! Yum.

I wasn’t sure how I’d feel about Theodore’s, since I’ve been a pretty big fan of Ted’s for years. After eating at a few different locations, I have to say I think it’s even better(blasphemy, I know). I love the idea of the«fring»(part fry/part onion ring) since trying to decide which to have has always been a fierce internal battle. They also use a nicer, better-tasting cheese on their burger and the buns are a step up. At this location I decided to branch out from my usual«Little T» cheeseburger and try the Kilroy chicken sandwich. It was surprisingly great, very moist and flavorful even with zero condiments(I had to eat in my car so I didn’t want to risk spilling ketchup on my white shirt). One standout about this particular location was the bathroom. I had to run in and wasn’t expecting much, but wow. Super clean and well-kept. I can’t remember the last time I was so impressed by a public restroom. Overall, definitely recommended for a good lunch/dinner, and a half-step-up from Ted’s(which I still love).

Met Ted today. He is the nicest guy around. Very friendly and appreciative of his customers. My wife and I even took pictures with him. The food was great as always. Now I am even a greater fan!!!

This is actually about their Walden Ave/Union Road locale. I’m a fan. The place is very clean, very pleasant. I’m quite the burger snob and the Big T is a nice straightforward burger. The fries are really good, this is important as I maintain a strict no fry left behind policy and these folks do make it worth adhering to. Other reviews are right. Sahlen’s dogs and a grill and it is tough to screw things up. The staff was great, real pleasant. Feel like Burgers and fries, think locally and go see these good folk.

I know this is considered heresy to some, but I think its better than Ted’s. Hot dogs are exactly the same, but anything you order from the fryer is fresher. And they have«frings» — half order of fries, half order of onion rings!!!

Probably more like 3 ½ stars, but we don’t have char-broiled hot dogs joints in San Francisco so any place here starts at a 3 and goes up from there. Pretty similar to Ted’s as would be expected. The place is newer and cleaner than Teds(points there) and the food is just as good. Tried the foot long nice and crispy, wife had the regular dog, kids had the cheeseburger and kids meal hot dogs. All good, all well priced. If you have a package of Sahlens and a char-broiler, it’s kind of hard to screw this up. Fries were quite good. Onion rings were ok. They had some kind of local cane sugar sodas(Johnny something or other) that was much better than a regular fountain drink. The owner or manager came by to make sure everything was ok which is always a nice touch. Lunch for 7 people(8 if you include my son’s second cheeseburger) came to less than $ 40 which you can’t argue with. Especially like the location right across the bridge in Grand Island. We were heading home from shopping at the outlets and this sure beat eating in the food court.

Every now and again I pop in for a footlong as I work on the Island. When it’s busy it’s very very busy but the food is worth the wait. You can see the bridges to Buffalo from the dining room so, I have actually had dinner here if there was a long backup, lol. Family environment, it could be noisey… but delicious!
