My mom and I decided to make a trip to North hero to check out the abandoned state park campground. Before we started our little walk around the campground we set up a camp grill, filled with newspaper and charcoal with the intentions of grilling up some hamburgers once we were done with our walk. By the time we returned the fire was completely out and the coals weren’t even hot, oh well, snack bar time! We had a canine with us so outdoor dining was the only option! I remembered seeing a few places on the way there, we pull off at Kim’s. I get my usual cheeseburger and my mom gets a chicken sandwich and a small onion ring to share. I was so tempted to get a Raspberry Milkshake, but not this time! Fairly standard snack bar food, all was good other than my mom was hoping for a grilled chicken sandwich, but it was fried. The kids that were working the front were pleasant and worked with a smile. That was nice to see! After we ordered two(or maybe more) large groups came along and placed orders. Happy to say our food came out sooner than I had expected! If you are out boating, hiking, swimming or just chilling Kim’s is a cool place to take a rest and grab some burgers, hotdogs, creemees or milkshakes!
