It seems I have found the secret of the $.69 hamburger. Very little hamburger! The picture of the burgers when you walk in the door shows more meat than bun. They got it backwards because at Burger King there’s much more bun than meat. Now it’s not all bad at this Burger King. The food was fresh, at least the bun was and the fries. The staff here is probably the nicest in the Grand Valley. I was welcomed when I came in, asked how I was, my order was taken quickly and the food served quickly, I was even told have a good night as I walked out the door even though they were busy. Truth is, I would rather pay $.99 for a hamburger that looks like a picture in the window, rather than save $.30 and get mostly bread. I do like the Satifries(crinkle cut fries) although they charge more for them. They do make them fresh whenever you order, which is a great thing for me because I hate old food and over salted fries. For the five bucks plus I paid, I wasn’t hungry when I left. Just wish the portions looked like they were supposed to in the advertising.

So, I decided to cruise to this place for a quick bite to eat, and went in without having high expectations. Let’s just say, it didn’t even measure up to mediocre. As I entered, the employees were horse playing around with each other, and being 11:15 am, I was the only one in line at the counter. It took me three attempts at getting the attention of the girl behind the register. Ordering was easy, as it seemed like she’s been doing this for quite some time. Typical middle aged white trash woman with no care or concern for the customer whatsoever. After I received the food eight minutes later, as I unwrapped the two double cheeseburgers, I found that the buns on both sandwiches were so stale that they were barely edible. The fries were hot, most likely because I happened to time it well as they came right out of the grease. The only thing wrong with this place are the employees. I know how difficult it is to find decent help these days, but it really seems like the characters in this place have no incentive in this restaurant, let alone life in general. Avoid this place if you’re after a decent, fresh meal. You won’t find it here.
