Ordered a flower delivery today from this place. The shop is prob less than a mile away. $ 60 order + $ 20 to deliver. I left my number and a number for someone else in the house. The delivery person came by, knocked on the door, then left. They called the local number afterward but never called me. Bottom line is that I spent $ 80 to have flowers delivered today and this shop made little effort to see it through. A pizza delivery guy delivering for tips would make a better effort. This business does not understand. Their delivery was not value added, like a pizza joint’s free delivery offer. I paid for it. On top of that, If someone is putting up $ 60 for flowers, it is probably for something important. This was. This place will go under some day and curiously, probably never know why. That clueless.

I’ve gotten flowers here twice, since it was close to where I used to live in town. The first time they just looked bad, the second time I overpaid for horrible. Never again. Don’t use this place if you want good flowers or arrangements!

I have used Flowers by Lorraine at least 20 times beginning in 1997 and have always experienced excellent professional service and wonderful fresh flowers. There is a reason that they were able to expand into the next available shop space several years ago; fresh flowers and good service.

My grandmother is in the hospital & I wanted to send her something nice to cheer her up. I live in California, she lives in Colorado. Flowers were the only thing I could think of to get to her right away. I knew that this flower shop was close to the hospital so I gave them a call. I explained to the woman who answered that I needed to have a last-minute, same-day delivery for my ill grandmother. I asked her what types of bouquets they had to get an idea of what I wanted. She made it sound like she had quite the array of options, pastels, some«simply lovely» Fall arrangements, roses, simple, extravagant, you name it. I know how much my grandmother enjoys the Fall, so I asked to have something made that had orange, was bright, cheery, & Fall like. I agreed to pay the extra charge to have the bouquet delivered that night. An hour and a half later my grandmother sent me a picture of the flowers that she had received, to let me know she got them and to say thank-you. They were NOTATALL what I had ordered. This ‘Fall’ bouquet consisted of purple roses, a white lily, light pink carnations, purple iris and white filler flowers. This bouquet screamed Easter! The only thing missing was the bunny hiding behind the greens. The next day(today), I called the florist to let her know that I had received a photo of the flowers & to ask why I had not gotten exactly what I had ordered, instead the exact opposite. Before I had even finished my sentence ‘Lorraine’ cut me off and immediately began talking about how gorgeous the arrangement was, saying that it was easily a $ 100 value, that I had called at the end of the day so they were out of the Fall flowers. I asked why she had told me that there were endless options, Fall bouquets included. She let me know that the Fall flowers that they had in stock would have died in a day or so, so she didn’t want to send those. Yet, she didn’t bother call me to let me know, or to give me the options of what she actually had. I was never approached with any type of customer service tactics, an offer to make anything right, just excuses and revelations of her business’ false representation. During this all of 3 minute conversation over the phone, she must have said that the bouquet she put together was ‘Gorgeous’ five times, as if that was enough for me to be happy with it & move on. I called her shop from another state, wanting to give my hospitalized grandmother something nice, I paid the extra cost to have it delivered after-hours, asked specifically for a Fall theme, paid way more than I normally would for flowers, was faced with dishonesty & am now stuck with having to write a review on how crappy their customer service is. Avoid ‘Flowers by Lorraine’ unless you are looking for an overpriced Spring/Easter bouquet.
