Worst Customer Service Experience EVER! I had purchase a previously viewed(rental) movie three weeks ago. I was saving it as a gift for someone. In the meantime the«extended version» of this same movie came out — so off to Hastings to Exchange it — or so i thought. I did not have the reciept anymore, but wouldn’t think that would matter since it was still in it’s packaging and i was only looking to exchange the item. Since i didn’t have the reciept they embarked on a journey through their computer system to determine WHEN the item was purchased. Again, does this matter if i am exchanging it? According to their records the last time this item was sold was in May(7 months ago as opposed to 3 weeks ago). Again i indicated i only wanted to exchange the item — to which they replied«we can’t even find proof you purchased it». Really? I’m stuck with it — yep. Apparently their posted policy of «unopened merchandise without a reciept can only be exchanged» doesn’t apply to a mid 40 year old couple and a $ 10 movie — because we’ve obviously stolen it! Rather than accepting any of my money tonight — they’ve likely lost a customer altogether… and hopefully more than that for anyone who reads this and would rather avoid criminal accusations.

This place is cluttered but that just gives you more opportunities to find some great deals. I always find what I came in for and most the time a little more. The staff doesn’t go above and beyond but they are knowledgable. Air fresheners and some air circulation would work wonders.

Store is quite disorderly and smells like a nasty litterbox all around the store… Quite unpleasant… Need to clean the store and organize merchandise… And get rid of the nasty smell…

This Hastings location has a fair selection for sure. Better than some. Merchandise seem kind of jumbled and disorderly though as far as finding things goes. Staff is friendly. Unfortunately because of the disorderliness, not one of my favorite Hastings locations.
