Fell in love with hot chocolate again at main street bagels. I’m a big fan, and you should all stop in on your way to wherever you’re going. So the polar express got chocolate: it was INCREDIBLE. It truly felt like a chocolate bar melted into drinkable chocolate. The whipped cream was reddi whip(I’m pretty sure) but I like it okay, so I was still pleased. However under the, the chocolate… It’s spectacular. The polar express is, I think, a dollar more than regular hot chocolate… But let me tell you. It’s worth it. Every penny. So if you’re into hot chocolate at all, don’t leave without buying some. Definitely a small. Because, trust me, it’s rich.

This place has THE slowest cash register in the world… In a café there should never be a line to the door. All it takes is two, maybe three iPad registers and things will move quickly. Get into the 21st century. Get square and get three registers. Nobody wants to wait 20 minutes for coffee…

Great bagels and coffee, but if there’s more than 6 people in line you’ll wait forever. It’s crazy they have 8 people behind the counter, 1 at the register and we waited over 30 minutes for a cold bagel sandwich(eggs pre-cooked no less) and coffee was lukewarm. Inefficient for so many employees, really no excuse!

Just ok, nothing to write home about. The bagel didn’t stand out any different from a chain bagel shop. The mango smoothie was fine. I will try other menu items and possibly update my rating later.

Went on a Sunday around 10:30am. Had coffee with a toasted Cinnamon Crunch bagel with butter, which was awesome. Also, had a Sesame Bagel not toasted with Very Berry cream cheese. The Very Berry cream cheese had delicious chunks of strawberry in it. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars was because it took almost 20 minutes for my order, which seems a little long for a bagel and coffee order.

So my husband and I had the opportunity to stop in for coffee at this local establishment. Being from out of town, we always try to find local coffee joints. This one was right down town while I was shoe shopping so my husband and I stopped in. First the espresso is magnificent, truly it is. With that being said you’re ruining it with a terrible barista. She didn’t heat the milk enough, hence COLD hot coffee which irritates me to no end. My husbands coffee was mostly foam, so his was COLD and mostly foam. $ 10 for two«medium» coffees and one mostly foam and both COLD. Yes I keep repeating myself in hopes the owners read this and correct the problem.

Ate here several times while visiting and staff was friendly every time. Great atmosphere and spacious indoor and outdoor seating. Soup bagels sandwiches and smoothies were all satisfying and tasted fresh. Wanted to try their pastries and coffee as they looked very fresh and looked amazing in the case. Definitely worth stopping by!

Driving through Colorado to New York, Zoe and I stopped here for a bagel and coffee before our 12 hour drive to Kansas City. Grand Junction itself is cute, quaint small town west of the rocky mountains. Main Street Bagels is a mirror image of the town itself. The décor is homey with big comfy couches and tables that you might find in your own kitchen, but it’s also extremely artistic as the walls serve as an art gallery for the town. Zoe and I, while waiting for our bagels and grapefruit juice, enjoyed awing over the stunning landscape photography, and also relaxing on the comfortable couches. The service was great and we ate our bagels and grapefruit juice in the car. The bagels were delicious and the grapefruit juice was perfect– refreshing, a well balanced bitter-sweet, and a perfect way to start our long drive through the rockies! — Jonny and Zoe

The bagels are pretty good, the room is pretty nice. The very young staff might be over worked or may not have been trained well, dunno. But they are not attentive or particularly helpful. The disturbing part to me tho is how poorly they clean the place. I get in there just after they open and there are crumbs and stuff all over the floor and tables. The staff never seem to wipe down anything during the day, let alone over night. Easy to imagine the kitchen being the same. Suspect a health inspector would have a field day in this place.

Coffee and tea are delicious here and the bagels are pretty real(no relation to NYC bagels, but, honestly you can’t even get those in New Jersey!!). But, the bagels are tasty and have a good chew. Love the environment and vibe. Cozy place to have coffee and a snack(haven’t tried soups and sammies yet, but I will!). This is a place to hang out with friends or be by yourself with your iPad, etc. My two negatives are that coffee service is slow. They don’t seem to have a separate«barista», so your coffee order will be put in the queue behind sandwich orders. So, not at all fast to get a drink and head out. So when I go, I have to remind myself to chill and not get aggravated. And the end result is always super tasty(try the chai!). And, when I eat a GOOD bagel, I don’t usually want it toasted. I leave toasting for the Sara Lee type bagel that needs help. The bagels here are good enough to stand on their own. To me, hot bagel and cold cream cheese is an oxymoron(for want of a better word). But, even when I ask for it NOTTOASTED, it gets toasted. Not the end of the world, but makes me feel that either they are not listening, they think they know better than I do, or they are in a rut. So with all my crankiness, I still give them 4 stars. That is because they make a darned good bagel for being so far from bagel home. That is hard to find and very precious. Need to try their bread — looks great!

This place is so good, I briefly considered moving to Grand Junction just to be closer to it. Lox Bagel was the best I’ve ever had in my life. The bagel was soft, not too doughy and the lox was thick and not too salty. Absolute perfection.

I’d like to add that I had the best chicken noodle soup I have EVER had. As my spoiled friends and family know who ate a my grandma’s house, this is not an flippant utterance. Kudos Dudes and Dudettes.

I’m from Los Angeles, California and every time I come out to visit Grand Junction I always have to take my much anticipated trip to Main Street Bagels! Everything I order is always delicious and the staff is always warm and friendly, especially Adrian! She’s the best! I know that whenever she’s working, I’m going to get the best service. I’m already looking forward to my next trip out to Colorado, so I can go to Main Street Bagels

So good. The highlight is the huge and diverse menu – of bagels, sandwiches, and delicious drinks. My matcha green tea latte changed my bf’s life after he took a sip. My red pepper panini was delicious & we went back twice.

This place is fantastic. I went there twice for breakfast bagel sandwiches, fresh OJ, and delicious lattes! The staff are great and while it was busy both times, the line moved pretty quickly! DELICIOUS! They also have a lunch menu and smoothies.

I’m sad to say I’ve had better food at a chain bagel shop. I had the turkey chipotle panini and it was so greasy that it made the bread soggy. We also ordered an everything bagel with the crunchy veggie cream cheese. They put on an obscene amount of the cream cheese, easily an entire tub. Some might say that’s awesome, but the cream cheese wasn’t very tasty and there was just a ton that got wasted when scrapped off. I’ll skip this place on my next visit to GJ.

Loved this place. We had a work mtg and it was a little loud but the food was amazing. I tried the sesame turkey sandwich and it was phenomenal. Plus the staff was friendly.

I have already stated that Café Sol is my favorite restaurant in town, so I will give Main St Bagels my «favorite everything else» place in town. This café is consistently awesome, their employees are always pleasant, and their products are so damn good. Get a coffee, a bagel, a sandwich, or even a smoothie and you won’t be disappointed. If you are, go back to your villa in Aspen… keep being too smug for the rest of us. This is the definition of a one stop shop in my opinion. Highlights: any dark roast on any day, the cinnamon crunch bagel, the vitality smoothie, and my favorite… the chipotle turkey panini. I want one right now! Go here, eat here, and tip well.

Great food — for the most part it has healthy food — bakery is great — Wi-Fi — caters to «hip» crowd — my favorite lunch spot .

It was late afternoon and the bagel store was still open and I sauntered inside to grab a sandwich. They have alot of special sandwiches, but I ended up with one that involves turkey and cream cheese. The sesame bagel was still tasting fresh, but as usual, the turkey quality was on the lower end side. In this sandwich though, the cream cheese and sprouts overwhelmed the turkey and it wasn’t much of an issue. The lunch was about 9 bucks and it included a good bag of name brand crunchy chips. The bagel/coffee shop seems to be a neighborhood gathering place and you could easily spend a few hours loitering. Oh yeah, the art on the walls is nice annd my 20 something cashier was calling me honey, a veteran in the industry already no doubt. I am concerned about the $ 1.19 per bagel price, getting too high these days.
